They were 3-0 beating Carolina, Vancouver, and Vegas going into this game. They have the leasing goal scorer in the league. Yes they're a top team.

That penalty that got us the 4th goal at the end of the 2nd was not that bad,

Nope, and this is the team we're supposed to hop over in the standings if we ever want to make the playoffs. So I guess this win is pretty huge in that sense.

Good game. They got off to a good start which they have been doing this year versus starting slow like they used to do in the past and trying to catch up. Norris and Batherson are looking good which is nice to see. The Senators PP has been really strong and they get the goals when they need them. If Forsberg lets in a softie they just need to come back and get another goal.

Best moves I've seen Green make so far. Really got both lines moving and looking more dangerous. DJ would have waited until game 20 to make the same change if ever.

Ice time distribution was solid too. Stu and Chucky were a touch off, they played a bit less. Bath was flying, his line played the most.

Same on defense. Sandy as usual at 26+. Chabot at 20, just less than Jensen.

When Ullmark and Zub come back we should be in close low scoring games. Greig will help the offence and add some peskiness. Greig replacing Gaudette will up the physical game for us. We still need to augment the D. Kleven is playing very well and he seems to be starting to play more physical. Nice to see. We still need more physical play from our soft players D and other players (e.g., JBD, Chabot, Gaudette).

Senators at 6 points in 5 games are trending towards becoming a playoff team.

Oh there were worts for sure but at least we got a bit of a pulse and saw some of the nasty we were supposed to get in Cousins and Perron. As a posted earlier amadio really helped 1st line retrieving pucks and helping us keep zone time.
Finally getting to see brady impose himself was a relief to see.

Only blemish was the poor entries on the PP in the 3rd. Going to happen though. Execution has been good overall.
