Those are our issues as well. Taking dumb penalties has been a major factor too. I am a little worried about tonight because our defense is looking quite thin, hopefully we'll win and get to brag a little more :D

The one positive I was going to say about the Canucks thus far was that they hadn't been terribly undisciplined and taken stupid penalties. But then last night happened.

Good chance that Lapierre gets benched in this one, for equal parts injury and idiocy. He's had a sore groin for days, but he took a momentum-killing, bonehead penalty in the game last night. AV might not be pleased. In an ideal world, Ebbett would be sat, but he appears to be popular amongst the coaches and players, so Lapierre might sit instead.

Let's get the 2 points tonight. No point in getting off our game and risking 2 points against a clearly inferior team.

Burrows better keep his head up! Gotta win this one! :D

One thing I love about Carter is no matter how invisible he can be in a game , with a simple shot he can be the game changer.

Good early season test for both teams as both clubs should be hungry for a win and need one. The Kings need to stay out of the box and get their cycle game going to break down the Canucks' defense.

Switch Canucks and Kings and this statement still makes perfect sense.

The guy knows how to find the back of the net. That's for sure. Even playing most of last year on Columbus he managed to score 21 goals in 55 games despite having an injured ankle.

I've actually been quite pleased with his play thus far this season. He looked determined when we played Chicago, and has been pretty solid for us all around, not being a liability, and battling along the boards. He has played well defensively and hasn't really done anything to be dissatisfied with.

Richards has been the cause for concern early on this season. Not only is he the worst plus/minus but now leads the team in penalty minutes all while not putting up a single point yet. He still looks sluggish and isn't coping well with the puck. I have no concerns about him turning things around, but he is definitely what is/was holding Carter and Gagne back. Hopefully today is the day he turns his luck around.

luongo starting tonight, which is too bad. i expect him to play well. i would have much rather faced Schneider.

I think Schneider is clearly better than Luongo. He reminds of Bernier.

I think Schneider just got freakishly hot at an unnerving time of the season last year. Luongo played well enough, but got blamed for the shortcomings of others.

It remains to be seen who is the better option though. They are leaning on Schnieder due to Luongo's contract, little more, IMO.

Alex Curry is the new hotter Heidi Androl.
Thank you KingsVision!

I don't think it matters. Both are beatable. Our players are more familiar with Luongo too.

Yeah but we basically put the last nail in the coffin for Luongo in Vancouver, he'll be out to prove something. This is exactly the type of game past Kings teams would lay down and die on 2-1, especially with Vancouver playing last night. Hopefully that's not the case tonight.

And Dan Moriarty? Really? We're in LA FFS, is it really that had to find someone easy on the eyes that knows anything about sports?

so the Kings are the only team not to have a PP goal, hopefully that ends tonight
