Nothing against Kazahkstan but go Slovakia go!

I understand Kazakistan's group is young and they'd be ripe for upsets next year and need to avoid relegation because they'll be better next year... so it was hard to against them but I always cheer Slovakia when not playing us.

This is THE biggest game of the round robin in my mind. Whomever loses this in the relegation, I think it's gonna be a great game because both teams know it. Kazakhstan got overpowered by the Swiss, but there were a ton of bad bounces. Put in Kazak's top netminder and I think it will be another close one.

Slovaks have better and more experienced players. Last WJC we won against Kazaks 11-2. I do not expect such a high difference in score this time, though. Still mandatory to grab all the points for us.

Slovakia gonna have a huge crowd behind them, they are almost the home team. This is why I expect them to start the game focused, at full speed, and cruise to quite comfortable win. Although Kazakhstan positively surprised me yesterday against Switzerland. They were enthusiastic and competitive. Impressive effort by those guys, majority of whom is actually playing for a MHL bottom feeder.

On paper Slovakia is probably slightly weaker but it's very close.

Was king of surprised how close Kazakhstan played the Swiss yesterday. Not really a fan of the Slovaks this year either. They still should win though, but I'll go a closer 3-1 Slovakia than I would have before yesterday

Kazakhstan has a real chance at an upset here. Played a good game against the Swiss yesterday. Mirroring what others have said above, this will be a great game. Lots of desperation from both teams even though the tournament is just getting started.

You can tell Slovaks are not really skating this period. Be it nerves or a break without games they aren't really skating yet.

First two forward lines and the goalie for Kazakhstan doesn't look half bad, the rest of them probably have 0 chance of becoming pro players.
