It should be his call, but if he chooses not to and anyone even remotely questions the decision, that person is a [bad words].

Long gone are the days of Mess, but how motivating would it be for AV to pull a Fassel (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4ab2pnlWkd4) or Nash to pull a Tebow (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U4VxVoYvqOw#t=2m35s)?

Yeah, don't see Nash getting that emotional. I had faith that Nash would play in the playoffs the way he played that one game in Columbus. Playing hard, and with an edge. Apparently for Nash winning in the playoffs is not as important as beating Columbus in the regular season. Very disappointing.

Gonna be line changes tonight, practice lines...before the sad MSL news.

Kreider-Stepan-Zuccarello
Hagelin-Richards-Nash
Pouliot-Brassard-MSL
Boyle-Moore-Carcillo

I like the idea of Kreider and Zucc on the same line, could create some sparks.

Guess Carcillo takes MSL's spot if he doesn't play, and Dorsett goes in.

MSL won't play, and that's totally understandable. If he decides to go, I hope he gets angry and uses it on the ice. Isn't he in Montreal right now?

I think we'll take the win tonight, but it ail just be a delay of the impending doom set upon us.

I really hope those are not the lines for today!

We have 1 line that ALWAYS plays well and that is the Pouliot - Brassard - Zucc line. Breaking it up would be beyond stupid.

I would keep the lines we had in the last game. Kreider was just starting to get going and he really seemed to open up room for Stepan and Nash...so keep those 3 together. Richards and MSL have sucked so let them continue to suck together on the 3rd line...there is hope that Hagelin at least adds speed to that line and might get the old farts going.

The lines we had for Game 4 were fine. We just had too many turnovers and made stupid mistakes. All that can be corrected.

True enough, but we have 3 losses in a row, and one chance left.

The coach has to do something, it's more or less expected.

I say what I say here in the very fondest hope that I am absolutely wrong....but I know in my gut that I am not. Not psyched at all. The season will end tonight.

Very simply, the players counted on to be the best this team has, have not shown up. I have little faith that they have any capability to do so. It's very black and white.

The most obvious thing is that the Nash trade was a disaster. It's just that simple. Devastating.

This is not a capable NHL playoff team at this point. The New York Rangers are not a difficult team to play against. A paper tiger pure and simple.

The organization as a whole should be completely re evaluated from top to bottom.

My condolences to MSL. It's a terrible thing to lose your mother. This will sound terrible, but it's absolutely par for the course. Sorry, but I had to say that.

His mother had a heart attack and died at 63.

His mother died after game 4, so its not like that effected his play (not directed at you, but Ive seen plenty of people searching for an excuse for his play)

Anyway, a real tragedy. I hope hes with his family and not even thinking about hockey right now.

Theres not much to hang your hat on after that brutal game 4, thats for sure.

Heres one: Fleury gave up the worst goal in the series to Zuccarello in game 4. If theres anyone that'd let it snowball, it'd be him.

I hear ya.

It's a terrible thing that MSL lost his mother, that goes WAY beyond hockey.

But as a Ranger fan, none of what has transpired this year has surprised me one bit. It's always something with this team.

While normally I'd agree with you, this is essentially a moment we need a hail mary to get things going again.

Kreider-Stepan-Zucc made the pens D into a roundabout circus, scoring 3 times when we beat them 5-1 earlier in the season.

Zucc has a tendency to make everyone around him better, and Streiderello were on fire for a long stretch.

I like these lines if they are what we'll play tonight. Some shakeup often pans out in the short run. And we need a shurt run burst right about now

Penguins are due for a loss. All we need is Lundqvist to be better than Fleury, like it was in PIT earlier. He can be better, I am sure.

Lets go Rangers!!!

At this point I'd settle for a demonstration of guts....but I suspect Nash will finally score with the game well in hand for the Pens.

That would be perfect.
