Looking for a step-up throughout the lineup from the last game, except for Godstal (if he plays). Hard to ask more from a guy. And a PP goal. They need to start somewhere. Ducks and the Sabres are the only teams without a PP goal yet (they've had 21 opportunities to Ducks' 14). I would like to be as least associated with that team as possible when it comes to anything.

Today and Tuesday are great opportunities for winnable games where we can play well and see improvement from players.

Idk why but I feel like Zegras-Carlsson-Terry could pop off.
They did that last year for a bit very early on. They looked very dangerous in a game or two but it didnt produce a goal iirc. after those couple games I feel like they started to lose a lot of battles and then Zegs got injured.

Am I remembering wrong that Carlsson and Terry had chemistry together last year? Why not put them together. That OT goal was the two of them.
They did, and it was the standard overtime opening pair. The problem was they never had a left wing with much chemistry outside of snakebit Zegras at the start of the year, and Cronin was bad at going back to combinations. There’s also a need to force feed Killorn on the top line for some reason.

I think there’s a desire to spread out the talent. Also, nobody but Terry would be anywhere near the crease unless they had the puck. Would work against the right kind of team, but the Kings absolutely aren’t that team.

Win/Lose, it doesn't matter unless they start controlling the puck, winning faceoffs, and having success on the Power Play.

Improved every game from here on out.

I honestly think that Sundin is the best comparable for him. He just doesn’t appear to have the mean streak of a Malkin/Forsberg to me.
He’s more explosive and a better skater than Sundin to me though.

It’s tough. There really isn’t a great comparable for him playstyle wise

I’d agree with both those points. It’s just a lot of the guys people compare him to have that dirty edge that most power forwards do, and I see 0% of that in his game.
