"Los Angeles Kings Hall of Fame Television Play-by-Play Broadcaster Bob Miller will take a medical leave of absence, the Kings announced today.

Miller is slated to undergo heart bypass surgery. The date of the surgery has not yet been determined. The timeline for Miller’s return to the TV booth also is undetermined." - LAKings.com

Nick Nickson will be filling in for Bob Miller on tv, and Jon Rosen will be filling in for Nick Nickson.

Lucic is back from his one game suspension.

Home teams have won the last two contests, with this being the last meeting in the regular season.

This is the Kings last game before the All-Star Break.
They will have 5 days off before resuming the season against Arizona on 2/2.

we've been playing .500 hockey for a little while now, a win before the break would be good!

wish the top 6 was:

Lucic - Kopitar - Gaborik
Pearson - Carter - Toffoli


i feel that Gaborik is just on the brink of breaking through finally for us this season, he shoots a ton and has been getting points every now and then of late

i'd love to give him another chance with Kopi

and reuniting Pearson with Carts & TT can only be good for him

time to get those two going !!!

me too. gabby seems like a good old diesel engine. slow start, longer gearing, but once it gets going it's a hell of a ride. i just hope that this line starts clicking, not much to show so far, but their potential is still huge.

I usually have confidence in this team. But this really does have loss written all over it. It's almost guaranteed. The good thing about this season is that games like these won't hurt us a lot. Unlike the Edmonton and Buffalo games last year.

For me at least, when I say it, it's in order to somewhat inoculate myself against being too furious if it does end up as a loss. I'd rather be pleasantly surprised at a win than back in the bad old days of crying reaction gifs
