My favorite part of the game was the 1st intermission interview when Morgan Geekie rolled his eyes at the moment Swayman's name was mentioned.

Thoughts:

7 mostly cheap penalties and giving up 3 PP goals is not a recipe for success. When Boston has good teams they have a very good PK.

Marchand had a roughing penalty in this one. He then whacked the linesman’s arm to get back into the fray. He should have been penalized for that and fined for striking an official. Very dumb for a team captain. I’m OK if the team decides to trade him rather than offer a new contract.

Shot differential—I can’t remember when the Bruins were consistently outshot this badly. If they are going to win more games they have to shoot a lot more and cut down opponent SOG’s.

I, unfortunately, cannot watch other teams. I can only watch the B's because I'm in the BRUINS' cult.
When the B's are knocked out off the PO's, I stop watching hockey until the next season begins.
I have no intention of being deprogrammed.

My hatred of the Toronto Maple Leafs has grown exponentially. So I will watch their games and cheer for the other team.

This game was rough on all fronts. PP was not there, PK was abysmal, Leadership failed them.
All around total and complete loss. I think we have too many of these, and it shows in the fact we have the worst goal differential in the league.
I'm really starting to think Marchand should be stripped of the C.

Another blow out when facing a team with skill that skates fast. We've seen this many times this year already and the lesson is obvious. This team is not up to the task.

Management, please, please, please wake up and stop trying to plug holes in this slowly sinking ship. You're just going to lengthen the time of pain. It's over. Admit it and start the rebuild/retool. I'd suggest about half this roster needs to go, if not more.

Goalie Bob has survived 3 different administrations, like 6 different head coaches and had continually churned out elite goalies from one season of Raycroft, to Thomas, to Rask, to elevating Ullmark and then finally Swayman

Yup, whole lot of mediocre AHL level talent too. Old guys, slow guys, passed their best before date guys and a plethora of mediocre bottom line bodies.

I honestly wouldn't be upset with trading anybody but even if you keep a small core, it's time for a rebuild.
