He's 37th in face-off wins. I'll concede good, but he's not great or he'd have taken more draws (but he consistently cheats and gets tossed).
Okay, will agree for good ! He still took over 600 face-off this year, not bad. Anyways, I understand the frustration here .. shitty to lose an important game like this that way to a rival (and to Korpi to top it off), but comments two three games ago were the complete opposite. Win a few in a row and people will change their tunes (hoping we do). Cheers everyone !

WTF is with the power play? Like WTF? Do they not watch tape?

Also, I love him but Giroux has looked like trash for a little bit. Please, nobody steal his cars anymore. It’s affecting his play.

I foresaw these woes while we were in the thick of our winning streak a few games ago. And even before that.

I've been saying it for a while.
I think being inept offensively is just something we might have to live with. Like every shit offensive team, we’ll have spurts where we score for a few games but that’s it. Out only chance to be a winning team is to win some one-goal games during those stretches. It’s a terrible formula for success but I don’t see much of a light. Like there’s not even a split second where I thought we’d turn it on tonight.

Chabot is so weird. He's not a great offensive defenceman, he's not a great defensive defenceman, he's not a great two way guy.

He's just rangy and skates and dekes well. He'll make hard skill plays look easy but make easy common sense plays look hard.

If that's the case, we should put Tkachuk - Stützle - Batherson back together and just white knuckle it with the other 3 lines.

"Spreading out the offense" when the offense sucks is terrible.

Also, Green playing Ostapchuk at C on the 3rd line instead of Greig while Norris is out is moronic. At least Greig can make a pass.

I don’t get this at all.

I remember back in the hamburglar run we got shut out zero times during the regular season…what a time to be alive

Murray's 1 year rebuild (2010-11) was actually more successful than Dorion 7 years rebuild...

After 2011's deadline sale, the team made the playoffs 4 times in the next 6 seasons and won 3 playoffs rounds.

We're not sue we can make the playoffs once...

Crunch time and our best players go stone cold. This is what they wanted - 'meaningful games' 'playoff push' 'crowd support'. Absolutely fumbling the ball right now. Hard watching the 'effort' this past week.

Don't get embarrassed by the Leafs, please.

I don’t get this at all.

It makes no sense.

Ridly Greig came in last year as a 21 year old center and with the Norris injury and Pinto suspension, played above where he should have. But he held his own! 13 goals and 26 points in 72 games, was +10, and had a 49.85 CF%, 50.78 SF% and 55.13 GF% at 5v5.

Pretty good for a rookie on a bad team!

This year, Green has stuck him on his off wing which has, on most night, rendered him invisible. I kind of see the logic when you have Stutzle, Norris and Pinto all in the lineup... but now that Norris is out?

Let's move the guy who has 1 goal in 34 games up instead.

They played a good away game & were in it right to the end until Chabot gave the puck away again. They need to get healthy, all the injuries are adding up. Were injured but came back Amadio, Zub, Forsberg, Chabot & Perron. There are a lot of injuries to players this yr.

Injured Forwards - Norris, Gregor
Injured Defencemen - Sanderson, Jensen, Hamonic, JBD
Injured goalie - Ullmark

On another note, people have said we have no depth yet Sebrango came in & played well in his two games. Matinpalo & Ostapchuk have also been very good & Merilainen came in & was great in net for a number of games. But we need our starters to get healthy & come back to work & when our best players to start putting the puck in the net. They are hanging right in there, but need some puck luck soon.

People often talk about getting healthy, but the reality is, it's very rare for an NHL team to ever be fully healthy. Someone comes back, someone else goes out. That'll keep happening, especially as these season gets towards the finish line.

We've been able to survive the injuries on defense and in net thanks to some great play from Leevi (and some real good wins from Forsberg).

But the top offensive players have been healthy all season. And they're the ones who've been the issue the last 20 games and why we haven't been able to build any sort of buffer.

That's what's concerning. The backups and depth players can only keep it up for so long. Tkachuk, Stutzle, Batherson, Chabot, Sanderson need to get it in gear.

Not sure if anyone has mentioned this but the play where he got trucked was because he last second didn't want to throw it toward the bench while everyone was changing.

If you watch he had to hesitate because his passing option was all of a sudden changing and he took one for the team instead of risking the too many men penalty.

Not sure if you are referring to that play a bit and if anyone caught that. The broadcast didn't notice that detail and it looked like a spaz play by him but I think there was more to it.

Chabot needs to exit this team after this season. He brings absolutely nothing to this team. This cannot be the same team going into 2025-2026. I've had just about enough of this decade long drought.
