Honestly the best thing that can happen right now is another first round thrashing by the Devils.

Maybe actual changes will made if they lose to the same league rival embarrassingly for two consecutive years.

That is right, but you absolutely positively cannot come close to winning hockey games if you don't score any goals. So it doesn't even matter. Top to bottom is just bad at this point.

This team has one Stanley Cup in 84 f***ing years and really only about 5 great seasons in the last 40, and everyone here will be in the ground before we win another one if we keep selling mediocrity as excitement and going through coaches like f***ing SVU goes through prosecutors the second anything goes wrong.

Puck is loose in the crease and none of our guys even make an attempt at daring to crash the net. This team is sooooooo incredibly soft. Core needs to be nuked

Just need to trade for young talent and get lucky with high first round picks. No more Yakupov-DiPietro-Stefan syndrome.
 
That was 100% a wishful toss up in the hopes that Laf would bat it out of mid air... instead of shooting the f***ing puck.

At some point we need to realize that even at his peak, Mika was never consistent enough or good enough 5v5 to be a Cup winning 1C. And now that he’s not at his peak, he’s not a 1C at all.

The problem with that realization is that both getting rid of Mika and acquiring a true top end 1C is going to be absurdly difficult given our roster and cap situation. We are simply stuck trying to work around it.
