Which is literally the only reason they've been remotely relevant since 2019 is their top guys making peanuts relative to the rest of the leagues top forwards. For the longest time Krejci was their highest paid forward.

This is the last year of that cause Pastrnak will cost double what he's been making and a ton of their guys are on the last year of UFA deals. They also have no farm system worth a f***. They're in for some dark days.

Look at Chicago. Once they gave Kane and Toews their big paydays, their contending days were over. They haven't been relevant since 2015. Price you pay for three Cups.
