Man. That was a real hard loss to watch for your club, but I guess you can't count on the Avs for anything. Your future looks bright, so chin up. Good luck next year.

Next season, Jackets. You guys have earned a new fan - that was one of the best games I've watched all year.

Wish you got in to put the hurt on the Hawks...Minny isn't a playoff team right now.

Oh well.

Congrats on a great season guys. Way to play it out til the end! Wish you would've made it in instead of the Wild.

We are so many over at the Devils board that were cheering for you, feel sorry for you guys but you're my number two team from this season and on. You have a good future ahead of you, thanks for an amazing run.

That bench minor on Colorado was the worst call I've seen since Malhotra' non-kick in Dallas. Yes I'm serious.

I agree ... that was terrible.

To all of the fans from other teams who have dropped in with kind words: Thank you for the support.

It needs to be said ... truly awesome to see so many people were cheering for the CBJ at the end.

To anyone who wants to come here and troll just leave. We lost 1 too many at the start and the guys gave every last thing that had but they missed out and Detroit and Minnesota put themselves in a position to control their own fate and deserved it. Thanks for all the other fans that have come in and wished the Blue Jackets luck and having so many good things to say. Really tough pill to swallow and its gonna be a long off season but the rest of the NHL has taken notice and we will be back next year. GO JACKETS!!!!

19-5-4 since March first.... We were probably one of the best if not the best in that span, that start really killed us.

One game that I always look back to is the game where Columbus dominated Edmonton but ran into a hot Dubnyk. Then late in the 3rd, Paajarvi scores the GWG(was it also SHG?). Had we made it into OT, we would have been in.
*Mind you, I'm sure every team had a game where they lost but should have won.

I agree with this post!

GO JACKETS! Our new division foes better watch out, we're not the wussy team we used to be!

This year was the beginning of the new era for our Jackets. They played like warriors, and I expect nothing but more of it next year in the east. Love my Jackets. You made it fun this year.

Sharks fan here. Was really pulling for you guys to make it. Keep your heads up, no one in February would imagine you would be fighting for a playoff spot. Good luck in the future!

This is a fact, thanks for posting it

Never been more proud to be a Jackets fan, Davidson/Jarmo are going to make this team a contender for years to come. I am actually very happy with Coach Richards behind the bench. This team came together behind Bob, probably the best trade we have had, a sound blue line led by JMFJ, w/ Murray on the way. Very impressed with Artem, Dubie Foligno & love the sniper skills of Marian.

With that said, I am most impressed with the contributions of Calvert, Atkinson and Letestu. Really wasn't expecting these guys to come through like they did & RyJo is becoming a force as well. Time to get in the weight room and get stronger guys.

Back from the game. Wow!!! Great crowd, great atmosphere. I don't have much voice left. That third period was fricking un-****ing-believable. Team, and crowd were on fire! Jackets, and the crowd did what they had to do.

People, as a season ticket holder from day one, I am not going to sit here and whine about not making the play-offs. I am not going to hate on Detroit or Minny, because they merely did what they had to do, just as we did.

This run that the Jackets put on just made my fricking year. What a gosh-darn blast that was. Am I disappointed that we came up short? Sure. But....I never, never, never expected to be in the position that we were in. That was so much fun. I guess as Jackets fans we have somewhat lowered expectations. But that is expected the way things have gone over the last 13 years.

I am so damn proud of this team, and I am so glad that I can say that I have been there with them the entire season, not just when they caught fire.

And yes, I will be right there with them all of next season!!

Go Jackets!!

All I'm going to say is that it sure would have been nice to play in the Wild's garbage division and pick up easy points against horrific teams. To argue that the Wild deserve it more or equally to the Blue Jackets is laughable because of that.

Don't worry Minny, you'll get pounded soon enough by Chicago.

I know we had a nice year but this hurts bad. We deserve a chance to play Chicago.

It does hurt so bad. If we can somehow someway keep the puck out of the net with 3 minutes to go in Minnesota, we'd be cheering in the streets right now. So emotional right now with bittersweet emotions. Can't even put it into words.

When JJ scored that was the loudest I have ever heard Nationwide Arena, passing Modin's playoff goal. Closely behind that was when Atkinson was sprung by Comeau. What a crowd. What a game, and what a team. A ****ing half point out of the playoffs. Tell me that a year ago, hell, tell me that 5 months ago and I'd call you crazy. That was the most fun I've ever had at a hockey game ever.

Is it October yet?

Since March 3rd, only Pittsburgh had a better record. So we went from the 30th best record to the 2nd best record, and finished 9th in the West.
