Congrats to Brendan Gallagher who is about to play his 800th NHL game. Not many smallish 5th round picks with average skating accomplish such a feat. He is one of those leaders you want around the young players. Yes he has lost a step but his effort and determination never waver.

Second one! The first one is becoming a big hockey fan too. My wife has been bringing him to my beer league games to cheer me on. Now whenever he sees the Habs on TV he yells "go daddy go!" ... Even if he's sitting on my lap watching.
That's adorable. Does that mean we can blame your play if the Habs lose?

A Montreal win and Bruins regulation win would put us 3rd in the Atlantic. It wouldn't last long though, Tampa has a laughably easy schedule coming up.
Tampa’s +36 goal difference differential is the best in the Atlantic too. They’re the last team in the division I can see slipping and wouldn’t even be surprised if they eventually take the division lead. Not saying they will, but they’re a team I wouldn’t bet against either.

Momentum is a funny thing. It has a compounding effect in most professional sports. The momentum that our team has been on since just before Christmas is resulting in almost everyone on the roster playing their best hockey of the season. It is beautiful.

When one player has a quiet game, another steps up. It has been amazing to watch. Caufield hasn't scored in 4. I suspect that it is his turn to turn it on tonight and he will score a couple.

Dach is also due after two quiet games.

Hutson is going to have a multi-point night.

6-3 Habs
2 x Caufield
Dach
Anderson
Guhle
Laine

Suzuki, Slaf and Lane with 2 assists each.

I like that they confirm the goalies in net a bit quicker now, must feel good for them as well for the preparation aspect.

However, like most (all) of you, I cannot stand Pezz on this team anymore. I respect him, he's a good soldier and a pro, but for the org and himself - he needs to go. I don't believe he's an NHL player caliber as he is always a step behind the play, lack discipline and proper puck handling skills to properly play the transition game MSL implemented. Good for him for making the show as a 6th rounder, nothing was handed to him, but you're gone in July, Sir !

Control what you can control...win your games.

Sadly you are correct

Should be our toughest matchup so far. Detroit was winning a bunch after the coaching change (but they dropped a few recently), and this game is essential for them. If they lose, they are seven-point back with many teams to climb over. and at this point in the season, this would be a big challenge. They have been rebuilding forever, they need to win this.

I'm fine with Pezzetta back. Beck was not really moving the needle (which is totally normal for a 20-yr-old on hist first callup). You need to play your 13th forward when there is a need; this is important for team morale, which is important for team building and winning. I'm sure his teammates are rooting for him. Tonight will be a war, and Pezz is more likely to have an impact than Beck.

Not a lot us thought he would make it to 800 games considering his game style.

He never takes a shift off, always battles and respects the crest thats in front of the jersey.

A true leader.

Hanging in there for 800 games with no NHL level skills is actually incredible

I mean seriously , does it get any better than this? Our 5'7 dman who's cooked detroit every game like they are beer leaguers is living so rent free I love it.

I love how he also takes a shot at Toronto , the lack of self awareness is staggering.

Detroit is building a mediocre team after a 6-7 year rebuild and I love it

Looking forward to watching Hutson and Caufield again, don't watch much Habs unless they play the wangs. Tho that will change if you make the playoffs!
You guys had a winning regular season record from 1991-2017 and multiple Stanley cup victories. Absolutely incredible. As a original six team, I really hope you guys turn things around soon.

Since they're in our division, I certainly don't lol. I want all the Atlantic teams aside from the Habs (obviously) to crash and burn for years
