Boys don’t appear to be very sharp so far tonight. Not a great period, not nearly enough pace or physicality while the Red Wings seemed to be fired up and ready.

No idea why MSL took the first unit off the ice with over a minute left in the PP. Brendan Gallagher on the power play with Dach and Newhook is, for lack of a better term - putrid. Just putrid. You’re about 98 percent less likely to score with that group on the ice. Very puzzling decision.
