Yeah I have lost all interest in trading him. That's too many goals to replace. He will be a great complimentary piece to the rest of the roster and is doing this without playing with Keller, Schmaltz, Dvo or Garland. I think the debate will be if we re-sign him after next season.

Watching the highlights OEL got walked down the wing twice...Kuemper bailed him out both times. The problem is that this is going to happen again at a bad moment and cost the Yotes an important game.

Where was OEL's defensive partner? That second one is all on Lyubushkin. I think people are forgetting OEL is partnered with a #7 guy.

I wonder if Rick is punch drunk. Some interviews and times behind the bench he just tunes out, not all there. Dementia pugilistic, bet after his death an autopsy will revile it.

Considering that a 2017 study found that the brains of 110 out of 111 former NFL players had CTE, it's easy to imagine NHL veterans, particularly those that played like RT, would be similarly afflicted.

Correct. Bush is playing much better this year and a lot of that is Bush himself, but a lot of that is OEL. Unfortunately, OEL is not quite as mobile as he once was, but he is a very smart Dman. He is our best passing Dman by a long shot. Also, I don't think enough credit is given to Gogo for helping Chick to become what he is this year.

RT is a really nice guy, and was one of my favorite players. I would love for him to prove us all wrong.

We’re up 4-0 and no sign of the doom and gloom club.......

:naughty:
The Coyotes have won 21 games and lost 27 this season. Their goal differential is -22.

It’s possible they yet again manage to sneak into the playoffs because of extraordinary circumstances not pertaining to their own competency as a hockey team. If they do, they will again be the worst playoff team in recent memory and the result will again make that obvious.

There. Better?

If they make the playoffs it will be because they are the 4th best team in the division. Maybe they are not the 16th best team in the league, but the format is the format and they will have earned it on the ice.

And last year they did beat Nashville three times to qualify by legitimate merit. That is absolutely technically true. How’d it work out?

The goal of every team in every sport is to win championships. Making the playoffs is a step in the process. What's the alternative? Don't try because you're afraid of getting whooped in the 1st rd.?

The alternative to make changes that better position the team for actual success. Firing Tocchet would have been good. Selling off some pieces. That kinda stuff.
