Knobber said he'll be likely to play a game next week.
Well this seems really stupid. Nations is Feb 12 to the 20th the deadline is March 7 so you have like maybe three and a half weeks to see le what you have hmin him to determine what you need at the deadline.

Not sure I like Henrique and Perry together. Far too slow of a line and I think Perry’s effectiveness goes way down with increased minutes.

Perry, despite being slow as molasses, seems to never actually get caught in a bad position because of it. His awareness of where to be is very strong.

Your point still stands, but he has an uncanny ability to be in the right spot all the time.

Plus Hyman and Perry are the only two guys that go to the blue paint. Be nice to have that spread over two lines.

I agree however I think the downside is that he, along with his line, can get trapped in their own zone chasing as they can’t turn over pucks and have trouble with retrievals in the offensive zone.

I think even flipping RNH to this line would cover a lot of the defects. I thought the same last game when Skinner was on this line.

It’s not a huge criticism since a lot of guys down the lineup aren’t doing much offensively so there isn’t a great option.

Its odd that the lowest price for this game is around 150bucks. What on Earth. Its McDavid less Oilers vs the non playoffs Vancouver Canucks. Really thats the ask for just going to this game and getting a migraine?

Some games I could see pricepoints being up there. Can't see it for this one. Its not playoffs, its not really a rivalry, Its a game against the Nucks.

Demand among local Nuck scum is high unfortunately. This is their only game here this year, so it's the only opportunity for those fools to show up to the rink and act like jackasses.

On this note - anyone else here have any stories of their antics during the playoffs? I have two personal favourites:

1 - They were acting like the Stanley Cup had been won after the first intermission of Game 3 when they were up 3-1. I've never seen anything remotely like it in the dozens of playoff games I've been to against any opponent. It was roughly equivalent to how Oiler fans were (justifiably in this case) acting after winning Game 6 of the Final. Put it in the memory bank to think back on when we won the series.

2- Three idiots probably in their mid-20's flew here from Vancouver and sat in front of me for Game 6, obviously expecting a win. Acting like fools, obviously. We gassed them, those morons left right after Kane's "living on a prayer" goal, then the next morning I see one of them getting his ass kicked on the YEG Wave instagram account outside the rink haha.

I'm sure there are many more. A ridiculous group of people that need to be studied.

I expected that was part of the answer. Probably will be a lot of turds requiring flushing.

Dont like the lineup changes at all. We outplayed the Caps by a significant margin last game, just ran into a hot goalie. These lineups look like poo.

Just beat these pukes. Give Miller a nice send off before he scampers back to NYC with his tail between his legs.

Prices for Canadian teams are always really high, unfortunately. Even when both teams suck. The cheapest is Ottawa by far but the rest are jacked up in price.

I hope we are dialed in today cause the Nucks will for sure...it's time for guys like Hyman/Skinner/Henrique to show up.

Hopefully they have trained PP without McD these days (I know we will get no PPs but just in case).

Agreed. That is a bit ridiculous to me.

Perry is also really good at holding an opposition player back when he knows the play is away from him. Cleanly, of course. He's a very smart player.

The antidote is pretty simple - shoot the f***ing puck!

When you have two possession monsters on the PP in 29 and 97 it makes more sense to hold and pick your spots. That goes away when you only have one possession monster.

The sequence of Bochard getting it, forgoing a shot, skating it to a worse position, and then turning it over was a constant on the PP against the Capitals. Puck needs to go high-> low in a hurry, and currently it's going high -> high -> high -> turned over and out of the zone.

Interesting that they are starting Pickard tonight over Skinner against a main divisional rival. Coaching staff must be seeing Skinner struggles recently too and not liking it.

Another consideration is Skinner has played all of about one good game against the Nucks over the past 18 months in about 10 attempts, and we dominated them in that one (Game 6).

For whatever reason he seems unable to play against them at all.
