Don't you usually look to feast and get your cookies against bottom feeders?

I remember when Ottawa used to be good, almost every game against expansion teams like Atlanta or Columbus was a blow out win and guys like Alfredsson and Hossa would have like 3-4 points each or something.

Man it's been a while since Ottawa has had a good team :(

Must be nice lol

Those Ottawa teams back then were really good, probably should have won a cup. The decision to keep Redden over Chara was franchise altering for Boston and I maintain to this day that if it was reversed that Ottawa could have beaten Anaheim in the finals. The Ducks intimidated Ottawa, with Chara there that wouldn't have happened.

It's about 15 miles.

It was a long time ago when I went to a game there with my son. We ckecked into the hotel downtown and the guy behind the desk asked if we were going to the game. I said yes. He said how are you getting there. I said we were driving. He said there was a bus to the game that left from right outside the hotel. Then he said, you don't want to get in that traffic. Beisdes, you'll want to have a few beers at the game, eh? Then I told my son, man, I love this place!
Had the same experience lol

5 of us checked into the hotel and asked for pre game activities. We were directed to a bar within walking distance that was either Irish owned or Boston owned...something along those lines. From there, the servers directed us to a bus stop and where to get the tickets. The bus stop was mobbed, and took us a good half hour to get to the arena. The arena was cavernous, clean, but also a little dated. Getting out of there on the bus was quite nice too, not having to deal with traffic or the snowstorm that was blowing through. I'd love to go back.

I really liked Ottawa, and to me it seemed a lot like Boston. As the night was winding down we asked a couple cops where we could find a Harvey's and they looked at us completely dumbfounded. Finally, someone shouted out, "HARVEYS, CHEESEBURGERS...YA KNOW, LIKE MCDONALDS!" and the light bulb went off. Cop replied in a heavy Canadian accent, "OH OH, HARRRRVEYS. No, no no Harrrveys here."

The Bruins shouldn't have to worry about the Senators Powerplay tonight. Over their last ten games, Ottawa has converted on just 6.1% of their opportunities. Could even be a good chance for the Bruins PK to gain back some of their lost confidence, as the Senators do actually tend to draw a lot of penalties.

The Bs cannot take ANY team lightly.

Need a full 60 minutes every game.

Ha, why Harvey's? I'm all about the shawarma when I go to Ottawa.

Better bring it tonight. Bring the forecheck. Shoot the puck and stop looking for the perfect pass. Get pucks to the net. Battle on the boards. Get greasy if you have to. You know what to do boys. Be ready from puck drop. No excuses. Get the job done.

You already know the drill.

It was a novelty to us at the time. I was either just finished with, or about to finish college. We ended up finding a Harvey's in a strip mall on our drive back home the next day. We went in so excited, chanting, hollering...

It was awful
Haha, that's funny. Seemed so random. I always marvel how those chains stay open in the bigger cities.

The ice is THIN on that canal.

Ottawa is playing better lately and Pinto's return has helped them a lot too. Ottawa isn't as good, but they also like to play the aggressive forecheck so I can easily see the Bruins losing this one too. They shouldn't, but they might.

Hoping for a win and a better all around game by our Bruins. No injuries please!

I love the city of Ottawa, we have visited it many times - it is about 5 hours away from where we live. We haven't been to a game there but did go to the ASG in 2012. We had stretch limo service right from the hotel to the front entrance of the arena, VIPs because of the trip we won, people were wondering who the celebrities were when we pulled up....sorry, just Bruins fans...lol We didn't have to worry about the traffic with a fully stocked bar inside the limo.

Sens are good at scoring goals, even better at being scored on. Play solid D, backed by the usual good goaltending, and the rest will take care of itself. A more open back-and-forth game could be fun, but then the result becomes less predictable and may be the Bruins' disadvantage with tiring legs on a b2b. Boston missed the jump last night, hopefully they start on time here and that will leave them better placed to keep things on their terms throughout the game.

Let's go Bruins!!
