To all the scouts watching today, Carlo played a flawless game, chipped pucks out, pitched a shutout on the PK, and got pucks somewhere in the general vicinity of the glass behind the net.

Bruins used up a lot of puck luck on a bottom dweller. Sharks really wanted that game.

I agree right now. Have seen him watching other players compete for pucks while he finds open spaces expecting a puck to get to him. He also generally looks to pass rather than shoot. He's skilled but fragile and I think when you have a puck watcher on a line, it puts more pressure on his linemates to do more. If he was more competitive on pucks I would think he was an asset.
I don’t know how you can watch Poitras and think he doesn’t compete for pucks. Been his best trait since he got here. Hes excellent on the walls for a guy his age/size.

As bad as McAvoy has been this year they desperately need him back.

I honestly don’t think he has been as bad as others hold. It’s just that he is meh at the PP that is getting to people.

On that note, I sincerely hope that Lorhei keeps the keys to the PP1. If they can upgrade on Zacha on that unit it could really come together.

If even “all skill guys suck” Divver is saying it’s time for Merk to see PP1 time in Boston, it’s hard to argue.

Elias Lindholm is usually invisible with zero production. Give me the kid centering those two , any day .

Poitras is overrated by many on this board.
I don't think this is a terrible take. He lacks strength, gets winded too easily, doesn't have a plus initial burst of speed and his skating style absolutely makes him more susceptible to head shots.

His obvious strengths are his hands, hockey IQ and shiftiness. Poitras has a lot going for him but the right deal presents itself you have to look at it.

So the Bruins have a back to back on Wednesday and Thursday? I don’t feel too confident with Korpisalo in goal again so soon . Which game will he get ? Devils or Sens ?

Um, we won a game of bumper pool against a weak team. Doesn’t change our fate.
Still be nice to get in the playoffs

Prob Ottawa if I had to guess.

They might be harming this kid more right now. Look at the kids the Sharks were puttin out there and it is different for them in the sense that they are not a good team ( not that the Bruins are) and let them get there feet wet, but there also a gap between them and Poitras talent and readiness for the NHL at this time. Please do not misinterpret what I am saying about this kid, I am pulling for him and not trying to say he will never make it, just too early to say right now, but I do know now is not the time..

Seriously ??
You can’t be. The kid adds skill to this team which they badly needs. Sees the ice real well, creates space, thinks a play ahead, nice soft passes. Hopefully he’s here to stay.

Marchand should consider himself extremely lucky they didn't score on his stupid penalty. Felt like I was watching him in 2017 or something.
Spot on, and to make him look even worse the announcers, felt he was looking for an embellishment penalty to be called. I also might add again the announcer was wrong at the end of the game, claiming Marchand was barking that he was taken out, when he was behind the defender, Both Marchand and the announcer were off base on that.
