Parts of NF has been getting hit with significant snowfall today. We don't have enough here for me to make a snowball. We just had a full week of rain and temps between 3-10 degrees celsius. Crazy mild temps so far this winter but still a long winter left yet so that will change I'm sure.

My cousin’s husband, who is a Habs fan, flew down this AM with his hockey team (all Leaf fans I think) for the game.

Feel bad for him since the news of CC22 broke after he was in the air and now the Habs are being dominated.

What hurts most about these injuries is the young guys going down and out for the season. If it was vets, so what, but Caufield, Guhle and Slafkovsky really hurts us and maybe long term too

Before the 2nd period starts I think I'll go get a piece of paper and put a paper cut on my bottom lip and then eat some salt and vinegar chips. Be far less painful than watching the rest of this game I'd say.

Our sick list this year (and others) doesn't inspire confidence in the powers of our medical team.

I think there are 3 variables to this whole injury thing - in no particular order. 1. Conditioning. 2. Medical staff 3. Type of hockey you play.

If habs are constantly on the defensive, never initiating, never being the aggressive team, but always on the receiving end of everything... well the risk of injuries is a lot higher. Conditioning is important... but can only prevent shit to a point... And then medical stuff .. .well... that was covered extensively here today. Hopefully with the new Dr in da House - Dr Slaf, this will start changing.
