this is must rebound game for Monty. He was awful vs TO, hasnt been very good or consistent in general even with the team playing much better

Even in a lose, he must play very well or its time to give Dobes a few in a row to see how he responds

Tampa is 5-4-1 over their last 10 games and coming off a loss to the Leafs. Make no mistake, they are coming in Montreal with lots of energy to get a W! Habs only 3 pts behind them. They also played Johansson against the Leafs and saved Vasi for the game against the Habs. This gives you some context into how big of a game it is for these two teams. Loose and the Habs are only 1 pt behind. Win and they have a 5 pt spread. Big swing!

Is Cernak playing in this game? This guy is an important piece on their back end.

Habs have a bottom 6F advantage and I feel we have a bottom 4D advantage as well. Very curious to see how Cooper manages this matchup because he's one of the better coaches in the NHL in this area.

So I was thinking this is the most winning I've seen for as long as I can remember...like really feels like a long time. So looked back and sure enough, this season Habs are already 3rd best regular season team we've had in last 10 years LOL.

Tbay didn't have a great showing against the Leafs so I expect a better team tonight. If we can weather the storm for two periods we have a good shot because they won't have their legs in the third, that isn't a young team anymore.

He has been a revelation as the season goes on and he gets his legs back. If we were to take a visit back to HfHabs circa Jan 2023....many of us were saying he could eclipse Suzuki. After the stinker start to the season, I kind of doubt it. But his unique blend of size, speed and silky mitts is starting to show again. We have every reason to be optimistic that his play will remain at 2nd line centre level.

Tonight? I expect more of what we have seen the past 3-4 weeks.

Would’ve preferred going with Dobes considering the recent track record of both goalies. This shouldn’t just be Monty’s crease no questions.
