This team just isn’t dynamic enough. It seems they can only score/play well when the emotions are high. They don’t have a fire inside naturally

We can win games by being « systemic » but it isn’t exciting at all. Zombies and robots who overthink out there
It will come.

This is the first year most of them of have had real NHL coaching.

Remember when we watched Habs vs NYR and said how putrid their defence was? How slow and old rangers were? Then we come in, spot a 0, and get dunked on 7 goals including one by Rempe. Wild given the same roster held the best team to 0 goals in 60 minutes. The roller coaster continues and where it ends nobody knows.

I mean, yeah, Norris was invisible, considering he didn't play most of the game
If you are going to post to just be an ass, at least read and comprehend before you answer.

I never mentioned tonight. They HAVE been a no show.

Brady 0 points in 8 games now. Bath 1 goal in 15 or 16 games? Norris has scored, but the line as a whole has not been good.

We need them to be a dominant line and Stu carrying a line, but none of it is happening.

Everyone seems to be struggling offensively under coach Green system..

I’d offer up Batherson for Miller we need a big shake up

I think lots of it is coaching system as well
Everyone seems to be not having a good year offensively not everyone forgets how to score right
We don't need a big shake up. This is the best the team has played in years. We're in a playoff position. We're 5-1-1 in our last 7 despite missing our star starting goalie. Why on earth would you shake things up? @milkbag accuses me of toxic positivity, but this garbage is clearly toxic negativity.

Because we need scoring ? And playing this way isn’t sustainable ? How many teams have made the playoffs being bottom third in the league scoring wise ?

VAN has better record compared to us and is looking to trade Miller it’s not toxic negativity? It’s trying to improve the team for a stretch run and shake things up for the good.

Shut out 4 times last 10 games and have only scored 4+ goals 3 times since DEC 11th!

We made the playoffs in 2017 and went all the way to the ECF despite being 22nd in goals for per game. We're very good defensively this year. That's how you make the playoffs.

If there's anything we need to improve, it's our PP. If we can get that going like it did earlier this season, it should fix our scoring issues. We're doing fine 5v5.

Also I have no idea why you're bringing up Miller. Vancouver is trading Miller because of his feud with Pettersson.

Sens start playing well coached, strong 'team' game where defensive assignments and responsible play starts winning us games consistently. A 'select few' stars coincidentally go colder than a week old cadaver in that same time. Odd, isn't it?

Someone mentioned it but our forwards are not dynamic enough in the offensive zone. They need to work on breaking free from defenders and timing their passes for those moments. As of now we are easy to pre-scout as we do the same thing every PP and cycle.

100% this. We're not good enough in the o zone to consistently win high scoring games. And we're not good enough defensively to consistently win low scoring games.

The forwards think they're better than they actually are. Need to start just shooting and jamming at the net.

Wish we’d have a lot more emphasis on getting Norris the puck on the PP to shoot.

He’s easily our best shot and he rarely shoots mainly because they don’t look for him enough I think.

Agreed. He used to be money on the right side, there was almost nothing a goalie could do even when they knew it was coming. I think they are worried about putting too much stress on his shoulder with one timers every PP.

I been telling everyone the forward lines are garbage.

But what do I know.

It's not just Green's system. Batherson, Tkachuk have been fumbling terribly and making terrible decisions with the puck. Stutzle too. Stutzle is back to his "I will do whatever I want cause my wingers are ****" play.

Our best players are not out best players and haven’t been for like 10-12 games now. Stutzle is doing 1 thing only and that’s zone entries then circling around the net. Batherson has looked like Bobby Ryan on an off night for the past month.

We need help up front for sure. At least one winger assuming Perron will be back before his contract is over.

Felt we were due for a stinker and didn't even bother with the highlights.

Of course realising as a fan we're in for a stinker is not the same as it being OK to throw up a stinker. Just hope we can make up for it against Boston...

Did I miss something?
Norris hit his chin on the ice, came back ready to go laughing about it and then was held out for “precautionary reasons”?

Is he being traded or is it a possible concussion?

They were clearly tired - the weekend back to backs they played super hard. And TBH I think their focus were the weekend back to backs and the Boston game Thursday at home. Not that the NYR arent the focus but I do think the two Boston games and the Toronto game Saturday kinda made the NYR game a trap game in a way.

See this a lot this time of year, energy levels of the team count as much as the skill and coaching of the team. If your team is tired and the other team has had a 2 day break, your probably going to lose the game no matter where team are in the standings and that’s what we saw last night

Leevi takes Manhattan!!!!

A snippet from Paul Simon:

Asking only workman's wages, I come looking for a job
But I get no offers
Just a come-on from the whores on 7th Avenue
I do declare, there were times when I was so lonesome
I took some comfort there, la-la-la-la-la-la-la

No, but being in the 1WC spot, and 1 point behind 3rd in the division is.
I mean we are neck and neck with Columbus and Montreal. Not exactly elite company.

We are all equally as bad as eachother and we need to see how to take the next step.
