Topics:
1) What has he learned about Dylan DeMelo?
2) Late draft pick to top pairing guy [;47)
3) What did he learn about Kraken? (1:17)
4) Haydn Fleury/Colin Miller options for Sat? (2:02)
5) Update on Vlad Namestnikov/Mason Appleton (2:27)
6) Like having 8 defenceman? (2:48)
7) Managing upcoming schedule (3:24)

Sounds like the Jets could have everyone healthy by next week. Knock on wood. That should make for some interesting roster decisions.

Contrast that to the Wild who are missing their top scorer, and top 3 d-men, it's a good place to be at this time of year.

Of the 3 D one of them has some really poor numbers but he gets the most love

I personally would play Stanley and Heinola above Fleury. I think Fleury is our only minus player and I thought he was pretty terrible for a few weeks before he got injured
Fleury looked better with Miller than Pionk. I thought Stanley looked better with Pionk than on the 3rd pair (aside from the game where JoMo got hurt)

Pionk's looked great with Samberg and not great with other partners. Stanley-Pionk was probably an improvement over Fleury-Pionk - but I don't think you want either as your 2nd pairing.

Listening to Arniel talk, it sounded like he would prefer to have 7 d-men but the team won't risk putting Fleury on waivers with Stanley wavering a little. With the Cap space the Jets have, if they make good trades they could probably carry 9-10 defensemen and 15 forwards at least under the Cap after the deadline, and start to rest some the key players before the playoffs. Or sustain an injury or two in the short term.

For coaching though I don't know how it affects practices with a lot of extra players.

Reactions: Jets 31 and Gm0ney
Without a doubt the must-win game of the day. Let’s clap these donkeys again and stretch that lead in the conference!
I was making fun of Edmonton's poor start and people correctly said it would balance out, and they're now 4 points back with a real easy schedule in the back half of the month. I think Colorado is the only playoff team they play. The race for #1 is a chance play teams at #8 that look like they are fumbling their way in, unless someone goes on a heater. #2 in the West is going to face a good team, as the top 4 in the Central have separated themselves from the pack.

Kraken are slippery cephalopods, don't expect it to be as easy as Vancouver. Probably more physical. Jets need to keep flying out there.

Enjoy the show for those who are going.

I’m a huge Jets fan, love both Connor and Scheifele. But let’s be honest, you’re a bit of a homer if you think they’re both gonna hit 50 goals tonight. But maybe one of them :naughty::sarcasm:

Sheifs and Conny explode and tally 24 goals each tonight to make hockey history -- going on to share the Richard make history again.

Book it.

In the real world, would be great to notch another convincing win and see some production down the lineup -- looking at you, Confetti!

I didn't see that but I don't really see a huge difference between Fleury and Stanley. I might be apt to play Fleury in quicker games and Stan in grindier games.

The dark horse for me is Heinola. We're starting to see more and more of the stuff that has people so excited for him - I'd like to see more. His last game was really good IMHO

Plus I don't like how the new messages add to the end of whatever page you are on.
Say you start reading a 4 page thread. Then you end up reading 3 or 4 new messages (out of order).
I'm not in that much of a hurry to read the posts.
I'm basically NEVER posting/reading during the games so the live feature is of no value to me.
New posts were always added to the bottom of the page you were reading.

Stanley was good for a few games that I watched in December. I don't see many Jets games now. They will have to make the third round before they are on CBC GEM.

Great game day thread!
Especially now that I understand the context!
For those that may have missed the issue highlighted in the intro - go back to the Post Game Thread for the Jets and Predators. Near the end (page 10 or so) there is some interesting reading. Great sleuthing BarnabyJonesPI! Made my morning.
Hmmmm I spent too much time going back and trying to find the start of the conversation and couldn't.
It started before the preds Post Game Thread. I even looked through the Preds game and found references. Looking back to the Kings post game thread and actual GDT couldn't actually find the beginning.

Any chance Mo finishes any higher than 4th for Norrissey? I mean Werenski, Makar and Hughes will be tough to gain any ground on.
