Listen, I know people here actually like him for whatever reason, but Chiarot is not a top pairing defenseman. And as soon as we get him out of that role our team will be a lot better. He’s a guy who you play on your bottom pairing.

Our team will be a lot better only if that role is filled by someone better than Chiarot.

He is definitely playing above where he should be but that's a reflection of the defensive corps more than Chiarot. This team has played much better with him on the top pair. And outside of Mo he's really one of the only physical defenseman. Holl and Petry are occasionally but are worse defensively.

A true #3 D would make a big difference to this team's defense.
