When I was young we rooted to win, we didn’t jerk off to undrafted players hoping the team keeps sucking.

We rooted to win the cup not make the playoffs. Making the playoffs was an automatic. We did not even bother talking about making the playoffs. We always had 4-5 very good kids ready to come in and replace the old guys and we did not hesitate one bit to ship out the old guys and replace them by better kids. We did not live in the past back then we were always looking forward and that's why we were a perennial contender.
