Rooting for this team to lose is trolling. Rangers are not a lottery team then could maybe start a tank thread.
The team is back to giving a f*** but their offense has been nonexistent. But I can't be too mad because they've been playing harder than they have in a while. Last year their offense and PP was good enough where they didn't have to play as hard defensively. Right now they're giving it their all because they have no room for error.
Agreed and that is good thing. Get the fundamentals in place and when the scoring eventually heats up you have the best of both worlds.
I feel a little less confident about the scoring coming back than I did a few games ago when they looked snakebitten. Right now they look like the Islanders from a few years back, all low event games.
I have a feeling they will break out offensively tonight. I believe in this group. Just replace Lindgren please.

Even he has been better. So it's not all the new additions. They're playing a more conservative system. Which WTF took them so long? I guess there was a point in time even playing a more conservative system wouldn't have been good enough.
I wonder if all of the posters crying about Drury being mean to Trouba still feel that way. What an upgrade we have been defensively without him.

Look at the line ups. There is no way the Rangers should be roughly tied with Montreal at this point in the season.
That said, it's a perfectly legitimate opinion to think this team needs to reset rather than plod on under this core.

He’s so due to get lit up.
Going to be a game wheee the rangers get their faces melted but some how end up winning or getting a point out of.
In in to watch Lane Hutson have more memeable defensive moments though. Had practically a half seasons worth in last nights game alone.

Guys, remember 2 years ago the Bruins had the best record in nhl reg season history and blew it in 1st round of playoffs got eliminated. All this b.s. about saying I hope we lose so we get a 1st round pick is asinine. Just enjoy the ride wherever it takes us. You never know. They're playing well dont worry be happy

I'm a big supporter of "hoping you'll lose" in football. But this is hockey. It's very different.
1) There are almost 40 games left. Are y'all expecting 0-40? Are you even rooting for that?
2) There's a draft lottery.
3) There's no position in hockey anywhere near as important as QB. As far as I know this draft doesn't have a can't miss prospect either.
4) This part is more emotional than rational. But these aren't the Jets and Giants who have sucked for over a decade. The Rangers had the best record in the league last year and an ECF appearance. Pardon us for not being read to nuke the roster and go into full rebuild. Maybe if the Rangers were still playing like it was December and players weren't trying. That's not the case.

Ever since I heard about the Devils putting it up on their jumbotron making fun of us trading Kakko and not picking Jack Hughes its made my blood boil with rage. I just want to beat the Devils this year. They're my arch enemy rival team for now
