Big Game Story: Teams split the previous two of this three-game series with each getting a win on its respective home ice. The chances of the Wild capturing the Northwest Division title are slim as all the division-leading Vancouver Canucks need is one more point to claim the top spot. Minnesota is focused on gaining its first berth in the Stanley Cup Playoffs since the 2007-08 season and will try to earn two points over Los Angeles on Tuesday. The Kings already qualified for the playoffs and can maintain a shot at winning the Pacific Division if the Anaheim Ducks end up losing their game Tuesday at the Edmonton Oilers. KINGS need to remind The WILD which team just won the Stanley Cup Championship. GO KINGS GO !!!

- UPCOMING SCHEDULE / ONLY 3 Games until PLAYOFFS! -
NOTE : Regarding LARGE SIZE IMAGES / YELLOW RE-SIZE IMAGE BARS ABOVE PICS, let me offer up one nice little suggestion ...
This will get rid of those pesky yellow resize bars over the top of some larger pictures ... as they annoy the hell out of me and maybe they do you also ?
- Go into/click on your "USER CP" {control Panel} up top left in the red bars
- on the left under 'Settings & Options' click on "Edit Options"
- scroll down to 'Thread Display Options', and then 'Please Select the Resize Mode'
- click on the 'Drop Down List Box' over on the Right of 'Please Select the Resize Mode'
- select it to "KEEP ORIGINAL SIZE"
- SAVE your selections !
There ... now don't that look MUCH BETTER

Goaltender JONATHAN QUICK said:"No matter how you get them, I guess, you get the two points. It’s all that matters. I don’t know how the other games turned out tonight, but I think if we continue winning, they’re going to have to come here at the beginning of the playoffs. That’s our goal right now. We want to have home ice, and we’re just going to keep fighting every night to get to points every time we go out.” (On the explanation he received from Dallas’ second goal) … “The only explanation I got was that he said his stick was under his shoulder. I’m sure some guys got different explanations, but that’s the one I got. They’re going to make mistakes. Refs are going to make mistakes. Players make mistakes. It happens. It was good we were able to ckind of catch a little bit of adversity and battle through it and still come out with the win. I think that’s the most important thing here.” (Oh how to best channel emotion when a call goes against the team) … “I don’t know if I did a great job of it, if you were watching the game. You get fired up. Obviously it’s an emotional game. It’s the end of the year, a few games left. You bring a lot of emotion into the game. It’s when you think something you think should be one way and it goes the other, sometimes your emotions get the best of you. I think the best way to handle it is you just take a deep breath and just worry about the next play, and that’s all you can think about. Bad calls are going to happen. Bad plays are going to happen by yourself. Things are going to happen in a game. It’s going to be up and down, and you’ve just got to be able to worry about the next shot and kind of keep moving forward.”."
Forward & Captain DUSTIN BROWN said:"I think we worked hard tonight. They were a desperate team and came in and found a way to get a point. It was a back-and-forth game. Giving up a two goal lead and then falling behind and being able to come back and win – it was a good response by our group.” (On the team’s response to several calls that went against the Kings) … “I mean, probably the second goal against I’m still confused. The goal taken away right in the third, too, is a judgment call by the ref. That stuff happens throughout the course of a game and throughout the course of the season, and it’s a matter of how you respond to when things maybe aren’t going your way."
Head coach DARRYL SUTTER said:"Well, you know it’s a high stick. The three guys in the back should’ve called that on the second one, and it’s not a disallowed goal because it’s the play before that. So the goal is the right call, but the high-stick is not right. You want the guys to make that call. [Reporter: A lot of resiliency. Just bounce back.] Well really felt that Lewie’s goal was a goal also. It should’ve been. So you know what, you just got to play through it and we talked about it after the second period, about really two lucky goals they scored against us, and we thought we deserved a little bit better and just find a way to win it and get through it.” (On whether he received an explanation on Lewis’ goal being disallowed) … “Well, obviously he either blew the whistle – no, we didn’t. He didn’t do much explaining to us.” (On attempting to earn home-ice advantage) … “We just want to try and win games. Honestly I’m not watching anybody else. I just want us to take care of our own business and who we play is who play. The only team nobody should want to play quite honestly is the team that’s only lost five games this year, so do everything we can not to play them. I don’t think we’re selective about that. I don’t think anybody [is]. [Reporter: I mean, home-ice, obviously, is something that’s very much within your grasp.] Yeah. You know, we’ve talked about that, but that’s the end result. You don’t get a whole bunch at once, you get one [point], even at the end of regulation you get one so then you try and get the other one.” (On Jonathan Quick) … “I think he’s been really good for us lately and I think it’s kind of on record of him saying that it’s about winning games and us saying that it’s about giving us a chance to win.” (On whether Jonathan Bernier could start one of the final three games) … “You know what? It’s something we’ll talk [about]. I haven’t really thought about it. We’ll talk tomorrow on the plane about it and make a decision. I haven’t even [gone] there yet. (On whether he’s still expecting Carter to score every game) … “I’d like him to. I’m sure he’s like to. I mean, we’d like everybody to score every game. [Reporter: It’s been a long time for Kopitar.] Yeah. Jeez. You know what? He’s playing well. He’s just got to finish. Even last game, when he [shot] off the [goalie’s] mask. You think that he missed the net, but it’s the right play. He’s going to score.” (On whether he was happy to see Dustin Penner’s “several bursts of speed” ) … “Yeah. ‘Several bursts?’ [Well, on more than one shift, he seemed to be flying down the wing.] The line was good, and they were on for the two bad goals, right? Give them credit. The line has to be good. It’s not him or one or two, or talk about Jeff being streaky or Penner having bursts or Mike Richards playing against the other top center. It doesn’t matter. The line has to be good. That’s what playoff teams or teams that are going to the playoffs are about. It’s not about mixing and matching.” (On Doughty’s confidence level) … “Drew struggled early, and he was awesome for – how many minutes did he play tonight? So I would say the last 15 minutes, you know what? He got his teeth knocked out last game, and he really wasn’t feeling all that good tonight, and he still gave us – that’s courage. He showed his character again the last part of the game."
