My favorite thing about that goal was that Smith fought for and won the puck before he passed it.

Also after he passed it he immediately moved his feet to the front of the net, drawing a defender, creating a lane. I love to see that.

After 1 period:

-Eklund has had some ups and downs this season but his ups seem a little bit better each time. He’s looked really good (playing with Celebrini helps) and his evasiveness is so high end, I love watching him play.

-Is… Vlasic good again? I don’t know if I’d sit him at this point, he looks good.

-Celebrini’s got a goal coming…

You guys do realize that Georgiev playing like this all but assures Askarov is going back down.

I kind of wonder if Vanacek is going to go on a conditioning assignment there and they’re going to stretch out the Georgiev/Askarov duo as long as possible and trade either him or Vanacek at the deadline.

If Thomas Speer somehow manages to fix Georgiev and get positive trade value for him, it’s going to be amazing. Best goalie coach we’ve had since Strelow so far.

Probably, but I don't have any faith there will be any sort of consistency with Georgiev. He's still not a good goalie.

Depends, if Georgie continued to implode I wouldn't have been surprised if he wasn't just sent home.

Hard to suggest he’s better than Warren when Strelow developed Nabby, Kipper and Toskala but let’s see how it goes.

I will say it’s shocking how much struggling goalies have improved under him and relatively quickly.
