Yeah they literally just traded Trouba with another team taking on his entire salary and apparently Seth Jones who has arguably the worst contract in the sport is drawing interest.

Also lol at Kreider being un tradable. He's probably the most tradable of the big 3 as he doesn't have a full no trade/no move protection.

Seems like iit may have to do with the leaguewide cap going up steadily for the forseeable future, combined with a relative scareceity of established talent in the league. Teams are willing to pay insane amounts to get players even above their previous market value. Free agency will be a nightmare.
