Oh yeah, he’s such a smart player that he could probably plug-and-play anywhere in the lineup.

Agree, he can be a short burst utility guy moving around the roster. I felt and still do that he's going to plug in with McLeod and Holloway to create a solid third line while mentoring the two skill young players. Holloway caught napping on Perry's sweet net front pass. Game could be 2-0 on that. Lesson1 for Holloway to always be prepared when a smart player's got the puck.

Indeed. Just need to look at the Big Bad B-Ruins last season to see how it can all change in the playoffs. They were an absolute fraud, but they also had better "sustainable" numbers heading into the post-season.

It is nonsense. If it didn't mean anything they wouldn't bother playing 82 games and would just have a big tournament. It's a really weak coping mechanism people like to use when they can't bring themselves to admit a team had or is having a good season. Good teams get knocked out early in the playoffs all the time, and they always have. That doesn't mean they aren't still good, nor does it mean they weren't good if they don't do it again the year after.

A good year is a good year and it's really weak that people can't just acknowledge it. The fancard doesn't get revoked for tipping your cap to another team.
