Also, loving Galchenyuk. If we can get him on a cheap 2 year deal, you do it for certain. High end skill that he never lost but he seems to have way more drive playing for the Leafs. Him, Hyman, Marner, Robertson and potentially Amirov for the future is nothing to scoff at as far as wingers go.
Especially with 47 passing to them ;)

He actually reminds me a bit of Kessel. He may not have the high end skill like him. But that the way he shoots and skates reminds me a lot of him

I feel like Kessel and Robertson have nothing in common. Kessel was an explosive skater with effortlessly elite finesse skills and a slingshot wrister. Robertson is a very hardworking player who looks like he’s skating in a wind tunnel and he has an incredible slap shot and a wrist shot that’s more heavy and bullet like (a la Clark) than a wicked whipping motion.

Morgan Rielly is still atrocious
Riels has been attrocious, Holl seems to be looking for the other team, Mitch seems to be more allergic to shooting than Kaberle, not sure who Kerf was passing to, Matthews thinking he can pass THROUGH sticks... It's almost comedic.

Maybe that's why the Muzzin-Brodie pairing is being tested.
It’s nice to see if Keefe has options heading into the playoffs. Maybe he’s trying familiar people with different pairs so we’re more nimble if need be in a series.

Positives. We have a replacement for some of our wingers in Robertson. Give him another summer and preseason games bet he looks 5 times better

agreed, he is not a great skater at all, it looks very exhausting for him and often he looks sloppy in the offensive zone because he’s used so much energy to skate. That has to be the priority going into the summer, get him with a skating coach.

I wanted Rielly as captain a couple seasons ago... However I'm starting to believe more and more that the best option might be to let him walk. It can't be blamed on a partner anymore, as Brodie has looked great (I know Holl is his partner tonight.)
