Well, at least I'll talk about something other than the Maple Laffs... The 29-10-4 Winnipeg Jets take on the 16-24-0 Ottawa Senators at Canadian Tire Centre in Kanata, Ontario at 2:00pm CST. The Jets are coming off of a 4-2 victory over the New York Islanders and are 9-1-0 in their last ten games. The Senators had an impressive win over the Montreal Canadiens 6-2 on Thursday night and are 3-7-0 in their last ten games. Can Winnipeg get up for the game, or will Ottawa surprise the Jets? Will the loss of Mark Scheifele have an impact on this team, or will this mean that others will step up? Will "Sloth" Tkachuk "goon" it up today, or will Captain Lurch have none of that? Will @RetroWinnipeg be the only one to get my Elvis reference in the GDT? These questions and more will be hit with a carbon tax and buried somewhere underneath Parliament Hill...

Don't be fooled by their record the Senators have some real good players, for some reason they have not been able to put it together this year. Just showing up will not be enough for the Jets, they need to start the game on time and not let the Sens hang around. Take 2 points stay on top of the Central and move on to Boston

Ottawa faces the Toronto Maple Leafs on February 10 on HNIC, so they will probably be looking forward to that game and overlooking the Jets.

Sens have surrendered 4 or more goals 24 times this season, so if the Jets do the usual they should take care of business.

Losing is hard to get away from. Same with Buffalo, it's the biggest reason I was against the "trade everyone and rebuild" idea for this team this past summer.
