I'm surprised that Dobes gets Dallas after Monty's performance last time and his record against them.
But not an unwelcome surprise.

Go Dobes Go!!!!
Makes perfect sense. When you play a team twice within a week for sure they analyze tape on the goalie. This way they don't get a second look at Monty and have to face a goalie they never faced. Still no book on Dobes!!!

What's this list for and why is he 15th? 😅

Just storylines, not an ordered list.

I think they did it so Monty doesn't have to play 3 games this week and puts Monty in line for the Leafs while Dobes gets the Rangers.

Dobes makes sense.............Monty geta TO and Dobes gets the Rangers on Sunday.

Has this been confirmed??
I hope Pezz doesn't get a penalty 12 seconds in to the game tonight.....

It's fine to sit in the pressbox and eat hot dogs and come in when there's an injury or illness on gameday.

But this is twice now where they've known they could or are shorthanded and haven't called anyone up and it's negligence now.
yup

maybe Pezz wanted to go to Mickey Gilley's bar in Dallas

When the team falls off, fatigue is gonna be a big part of it. Pezz can't be relied to play a shift. Not calling anyone up is a stupid decision.

Doesn't pretty much everyone have a 2 week break coming up? You think someone eating marginally more minutes would materially change fatigue levels? Someone at 10 minutes per game could maybe take off 1 shift per forward per game compared to Pezz, so a total of 2 shifts per forward on this road trip.

But who really could be called up and should play 10 minutes without having practiced with the team?

I don't like what Pezz has provided thus far, but the fatigue argument just doesn't cut it for me.

They've been traveling for every game so far since like December 11th.. they are playing a very heavy schedule right now. Pezz gives them 4 minutes and then everyone else is playing up 2-3 minutes more a night having to double shift in his spot.

And they could have called someone up a long time ago.. Laine was out with the flu for multiple games, Heineman got hit by a car, Newhook was already questionable with the flu. The player not having practiced with the team is entirely a function of them not calling up a forward. They are operating without an extra forward right now.

If someone gets sicked, gets hurt in warm-up.. we have to go 7 D.. if two players go down in warm-up, we are playing shorthanded. It's just not a smart move.

2-3 minutes more? Maybe 40 seconds more per forward. Who do you call up that's going to get 10 minutes of ice time?

Sure if something happens and 1 more forward is out they have trouble.. but that's entirely separate from a fatigue argument.

They've got plenty of options.. Condotta who has done it before. Davidson who has earned it. Beck who has an NHL game under his belt and has plenty of qualities. ABB who started the season here. Roy who has played this season and played 30 plus games last year.
