Actually have a night off from whatever shit I typically have to do after work so... have wings ready to go, new bottle of wine. nowhere to go but watch the game in peace.... This has all hallmarks of going wrong. I don't have a good feeling.
Take it from me....the team plays better when you have a million things to do, like driving your kids all over and making chicken nuggies in the air fryer.

Let's Gooooooooooo

I really love the two sides of our coach. Still can't believe he is our coach.

Happy MSL: Players, media, and fans can smile, have fun, and keep doing what you are doing.

Unhappy MSL: Shut the F up, listen up, and get to work!

MSL is the coach.............but he is also a fan!! Love it.

Can't believe some fans were on his back and didn't consider that his resiliency matches the Habs players resiliency. Imagine, MSL won't improve as a coach as he was also learning on the job. Come on man

All I know is that if I was a player, I would bust my ass off for this type of coach.

So I guess they will wait to be back home to call up someone from Laval? As much as I think Pezz is useless , that would make sense.

I think he is still developing and learning. There are times, I still shake my head at his usage of players, and the goalies, but hey, he is the coach.
I hope he gets better as the team goes also....

What I like about him, is he is driven...............driven to win no matter what he does.

100% agree and it was one of Hughes' best moves IMO. Players want to play in Montreal with the talent we built and we have a players coach who is hard on you but fair. Helps you improve vs just jumping on your back and pushing you from behind.

Two type of leaders...
One who goes behind as a loud mouth and pushes you without any credibility on how to do your job. Like MT trying to coach you on offense
vs
One who gets in the front and helps you improve and has credibility

100% agree. I would be shocked if they threw Pezz back out there for 4 minutes of ice time. The 4th line needs to stay hot. I know Roy probably makes the most sense, but I’m not sure the team wants to interrupt the learning these young guys are getting in Laval.
so dumb for 4 minutes of ice time. waste of a spot

Pezz is part of the team and has not got much games in this year. What's the point of having the extra forward if you bypass him where there is an injury?

I get it, we would like an upgrade but Pezz knows our system well and has been around the team. It's not like we are playing him top 9.

Pretty sure the Habs want to avoid ruining Laval's run.

There are many other teams who have more than one Pezzetta in their bottom 6, so lets avoid the jumping on his back because he plays 4 min's a game. We are better than this.

He resonates well with these younger guys, I think he has more of a , "I'm disappointed" approach than a "going ape shit crazy on the team" approach. Which stings the players because they all know how good he was as a player and probably is as a mentor to them right now

Laval is there for Montreal not the other way around.
Plus Pezz isn't trusted by the coach. He plays 4 minutes a game , forcing double shifting of some players who are already tired by a crazy schedule. We can't have Pezz playing 4 minutes a game for 3 weeks.

Stars are absolutely stacked. They are my favorite to win the cup coming out of the west.

I think we should start Monty again, to see if he can redeem himself against this team. Give Dobes the Leafs game at home and watch the fig tears fall.

Its going to start sounding like a broken record....but every game is a must win at this point. The east is just too tight right now. Every team chasing the WC has a chance, except Buffalo.

I'd argue that even Buffalo has a chance if they go on a couple of winning streaks without prolonged losing streaks in between. They're still "only" 9pts behind 8th. Chances are quite high that they won't make it but technically they're still in it.

So yeah the second half of the season and the playoffs chase in the east is gonna be pretty insane. It makes the games so much more fun to watch when you're in it and not just the Habs games but I'm more inclined to watch Ottawa , Boston , CBJ games as well as they are our direct competitors for the wild card spot . It's gonna be a hell of a wild ride for sure.

I don’t remember going through such a crazy murderer’s row schedule like this.

All the top teams multiple times, the crazy travel. It just doesn’t end.

Any other stretches like that you other old farts like me have in mind?

Laval is there to develop. Pezz is there as a depth forward in case of injuries. I am sure the Habs want our players in Laval to go on a run and see what winning is like at the AHL level. Yes, they will call up guys if they have to but the point of this is we don't have to.
