Oof, getting Eklund off the ice might have won them the game...
and that was the wrong call. they blew the play dead on the penalty right?Oof, getting Eklund off the ice might have won them the game...
maybe that's all our talent can handle. trying to pass while moving to a moving player is asking a lot from AHL players.I hate our special teams coach. Stagnant terrible boring garbage.
I hate our penalty kill too, which has been getting totally undeserved credit. They retreat into a small bunched formation, pray the other team fumbles the puck or that they get a lucky bounce that enables them to clear the puck while every other team applies pressure to the guy with the puck to pressure him into making a mistake.I hate our special teams coach. Stagnant terrible boring garbage.
what about the rest of the team? Instead of focusing on the 19 year old rookie, maybe focus on the guys that have been around forever and should be making the big boy plays. Your infatuation with Smith is ridiculousjesus f***ing christ AHL Smith pisses me off sometimes. But we are just a terrible team. At least Coach finally decided to shorten the bench and settled on the correct lines. Question is will he continue to use them?
The 57 minutes before it weren't much betterthat last minute was gross
Especially when smith was the only one willing to shoot the puck tonight. It took celebrini, granlund, toffoli, wennberg, eklund, kunin until the final 10 minutes of the game to get there first shots on net.what about the rest of the team? Fair.maybe that's all our talent can handle. trying to pass while moving to a moving player is asking a lot from AHL players.
The rest of the team isn't getting blessed with playing with Macklin as their center. He is our most dynamic player so if you are his winger you gotta step up. Instead Smith is neutering him. I mean you saw how he neutered the entire offense at the end of the game. He has to be with Granlund already. Granny and Eklund can probably work around him, but losing Celebrini's line as a threat is absolutely killing things.what about the rest of the team? He's not going to the A but a development day or two might be good.So I've tried to keep my thoughts on Smith to a minimum but woof. Kid is processing the game SO slowly right now and his brief appearance on PP1 at the end of the game just put a big spotlight on it.
Is it still anathema to suggest Smith to the A?
Relative to expectations, I would say Smith is our greatest underperformed this season. Is there anyone who has been more disappointing (again, relative to expectations)?what about the rest of the team? I mean that's his job, it's literally all he can do. And he has to be so open to do it, it's no wonder he never scores. His line has to work so hard to get it to him, it kills total opportunities as well.Especially when smith was the only one willing to shoot the puck tonight. It took celebrini, granlund, toffoli, wennberg, eklund, kunin until the final 10 minutes of the game to get there first shots on net.
If you had more expectations then a 30 point player then that is on you, and that is exactly what he is performing at.Relative to expectations, I would say Smith is our greatest underperformed this season. Is there anyone who has been more disappointing (again, relative to expectations)?
NHL player Luke Kunin not enough for ya?For the love of God can we give Celebrini some actual NHL caliber talent on the wing? It's depressing
I don’t buy that he’s neutered the line. I think you’re seeing Celebrini hit a bit of a slump and it happens to line up with Smith being on his line. Kunin was blessed to play with Celebrini today and he also looked like dog shit, but I’m guessing that’s on Smith as well who wasn’t on the ice for either goal against. The rest of the team isn't getting blessed with playing with Macklin as their center.
