Not as excited for this one. Feels like we are stuck in purgatory until the 4 Nations when trade rumors will heat up again with all the stars in one place playing each other. Ive been optimistic all along but they need a 7, 8, 9 game win streak sooner or later. 4-1-2 is nice but ultimately not doing much for us. I dont want to see the decline in effort we have often seen when the team starts to coast on it's success. Need to go 3-0 against Utah, CBJ and MTL. I will most certainly be up until midnight when this ends and regretting it tomorrow.

This game has “Rangers get suckered into a track meet and lose” written all over it.

Exactly what happened in the first game but at the time I felt more like the team could win games like this and now they seem more likely a slow it down opportunistic defensive team. I do think that they look more like a defensive team than they are. They're still creating chances but we keep missing the f***ing net.

It's whatever at this point. Cuylle busts his ass every game and doesn't even get into pp1 or pp2 now. It's not like he's a guy who works hard with no talent. IDK maybe he doesn't fit well on the pp if Kreider is gonna be on pp2 but still. Give the kid more 5 on 5 min then.

Just listened to 8 minutes of Le Nerd Utah head coach. Interesting if not arcane stat - they are #1 in “slot shots from the rush.”

Will be watching to see if Rangers d (incl forwards) can continue to suppress rushes against, and if God forbid any come through will Igor have his glove ready to stop high danger chances.

Will also be counting how many times Sam says “shot wide” tonite
