Great play by Wennberg. The kid is really improving.

Here's an unpopular opinion: send him down. I agree he's been playing good all over the ice lately, and I'd still send him down. If Wennberg tops out as a low-scoring good-checking center, we will have failed in his development. We need him to get a scoring touch. A little inferior competition in the AHL is exactly what he needs.

I think that's a pretty good assessment.

But I did not watch the game, I couldn't agree more based on the body of work. You hit it all on the head.

Josh Anderson should be sent down too then under that criteria. He's shown he can play in the NHL, not looked out of place, but hasn't scored many points (In a smaller sample size). It would only be fair.

This season ain't over yet. Nice win boys! :handclap:

Would have been nice though if Calvert hit that empty net to keep Johansen's point streak alive. You could tell Joey really wanted to keep the streak going. I've never seen anyone so determined to get an ENG
Wennberg is really coming into his own. Made some great plays tonight. Dubi looking much better lately as well!:yo:

Agreed. VERY impressed with Wennberg. He's significantly improved on faceoffs, and always seems to be in perfect position, both offensively and defensively. Only a matter of time until he starts being rewarded with some points.

Josh Anderson doesn't have the ceiling. It's not about fairness, it's about developing Wennberg the right way.
