Ok, torch me but I'm going to defend Lohrei. The kid is 23. He's still developing his game. If the team didn't completely suck in basically all positions he'd be playing with the baby B's and getting a chance to work on his deficiencies. I don't think he looks very good at this point but look at it objectively based on age and lack of development. Let's face it, outside of Bob E, none of the coaches have impressed. Also, the vets have not lived up to expectations on offense or defense. If Lohrei's your whipping boy, fine, but don't discount the fact that he's 23 and has lived in this dysfunctional organization basically for all of two seasons.

Let him develop his game somewhere else,

I’m not perplexed. Sweeney built a roster with like 1-2, maybe 3 legit top six forwards and bunch of guys with worse hands than Daniel Paille.

I also maybe was a bit loose with "whipping boy" but let's not just see the forest for the trees, this team has much bigger problems than Lohrei which would make his gaffes less noticeable if there was some optimism with the play of the rest of the team. Should they lose the sixth in a row tonight it's not because of Lohrei. He's a symptom not the cause.

Listening on my commute home it was clear that every single person covering this team thinks they need a serious trade as they lack top end talent...

...and no one thinks help is coming. The minute they land back in Boston from this Florida trip they should be handing plane tickets to players and shipping them out.

You either get a top line talent OR sell it all. There is no longer any middle ground for this team.

The PP is easily the worst we've seen since 2011 1st round. Maybe even worse than that.

Chaffee came screaming up the center of the ice, straight past a bunch of Bruins - Frederic came off his man to try to chase, but was too late. I'm not saying he played it well - he was left out to dry by the rest of the team, again.

It's extremely alarming how much the defense did a complete 180 from last season and suck right now. They brought in a defensmen coach to help improve the D corps from last season, but that is doing nothing.

He's not a reputable coach. Really nice guy, funny guy. Basically lets the players do whatever they want.
