Cooley man... f*** what a miss at the draft

I dont know for you but when you ask the question to people who never seen 2 players play.

Who would you choose between a 6.4..and 5.10

95% would choose the 6.4.

In fact i did asked the question to some friends in 2022.....they knew Wright a bit but not Cooley or Slaf....so on purpose I told them just that:

One is 5.10 the other 6.4...

They never saw a clip of both and they all answered Slaf cause he was 6.4......see

Cooley has 5x the Iq that Slaf has.

I like Slaf but..

I fully understand your point, but his play is actually not even close to be considered developing. If we are to make a push to make the playoffs, his play needs to pick up real fast or otherwise he'll be a weight on that line that is gonna cause problems. That is why I am so hard on him, because of his level of intensity. Making bad plays come with the experience, but making bad plays after bad plays, playing with no intensity isn't what this guy was drafted to be and touted to be.

It sucks to have to watch, but players who aren't yet fully established go through these funks. It looks like stagnation, but when they learn how to come out of it, its a significant step in their development. Sergachev looks amazing now, but he went through awful phases like these too. Caufield too. He looked like a complete bust after the cup run and everyone was on his back just last year.
