Keep (some because he have to)

Pasta, Elias, kastelic
MacAvoy, imitation Z, Hampus, Lohrie
Sway

Anyone else for sale
Bring in picks, offensive D (2), young scorer (not realistic probably)

We need to find our Hyman, Van der Hagey (whatever) , Marchessault (?) etc

Sacco is not a good coach but at some point Charlie Jacobs might wake up and realize this is not a coaching issue. It's time to embrace a rebuild in some capacity. Time to start dealing guys away. Or pull the plug on Don Sweeney and hire someone else to start the rebuild. They are stuck in purgatory right now.
Charlie Jacobs waking up and realizing anything is just not in the stars. He wouldn’t know a hockey puck if I fired one up his ass with a howitzer.

This.

For the last 15 years the Bruins have been one of the better teams in the NHL. At some point, it has to end. I’m not even mad about it. It is what it is.

Could Sweeney have been better? Yes, but it’s not his fault that for the past 9-10 years they have added at every deadline and all their moves were geared towards building around the core. That’s what the situation dictated.

Well, that core is almost all gone and it’s time for a rebuild, or at the very least a serious retool. Identify who the new core is and decide on a plan. Deal all your impending FA’s for as much as you can get at the deadline. Get younger players, picks or prospects in return. Call up Merkulov, Lysell and Poitras and see what you have. Aim for a bottom 5 pick and draft an impact player.

I take no pleasure in saying this, but it’s time and I’m not sure the current FO and/or coaching staff are the guys you want rebuilding.
I would like to see an impact trade before we think rebuild.

You trust him to build a good good core? When they hired him alot of key pieces were in place like Chara,Bergeron.Hats off to him adding around it but actually building it from foundation is totally different in my mind. This abomination he built here is pathetic.

Yep. Sweeney built it.

Did it have to be this way though? Why did they spend so much money on Lindholm and Zadarov? Poitras and Wotherspoon playing regularly likely have more impact than those two busts .

I'm fully at peace with the fact this team cannot be a contender this year and nothing will make it so. It happens, and the Bruins were well overdue this type of season.

The interest now lies in seeing what management do from here. A) cling on to the hope of a playoff spot until the bitter end, B) simply tread water until season's end, C) get a head start at the deadline on what they hope will be a short, sharp re-tool, or D) look to blow it all up and go in for a major rebuild?

C is what IMO they should do, A is what they will do and suffer for it, B would be harmless enough but a wasted opportunity, D they will never consider unless given absolutely no choice.

Sacco is probably not the coach next year. I just hope they don’t go after someone like Donato since he’s a local guy and a former Neely teammate. They need to clean house but they won’t. That said, they could be aggressive at the deadline and make the playoffs and kick the can down the road two years but the bill is going to come due eventually. Trying to contend right now and trading high picks to just make the wild card would be the dumbest thing Sweeney could do.

Hope they lose another game 7 in the Stanley cup finals. It's more painful then not even making it.😃
Oilers have not won a Cup since ten years before this millennium started, despite having multiple years of top picks to stock their team. Seeing them lose again would be like watching the Yankees getting eliminated or the Flyers, Habs, (or fill in the blank with your favorite team to hate) get bounced. Sheer joy. May their futile efforts continue.
