Jesus. This my first time hearing Stalock as a commentator. Other than maybe needing to slow down juuuuuuust a touch and his midwestern accent, he’s got the gift. Really smooth dissection of three different plays with insightful remarks, polished delivery, and an array of multiple adjectives outside of “nice little play”.

Essentially he’s the anti-Hedican.

I get Georgiev could’ve saved any of those goals but only the second one didn’t have a really poor defensive mistake associated with it. Ceci’s play on Stone was soft and Ferraro letting that floater through was ugly.

You have correctly identified that I was exaggerating for comedic effect.

Ironically my brother also works in the film industry. So a lot of the movies I've seen are ones that he worked on.

I like books and TV series. My thing is that I like stories that are character-centered more than anything else. And I find that most movies can't get me invested in a character because a lot of character development in movies is cut or short-changed in favor of story-telling, so I find myself just not very invested. Hard to explain I guess.

If you've got a list of movies that might fit my criteria, I'm open to it!

That’s fair, I do love TV too, I understand wanting to sit in a character and really get to know them. There are some great character driven films as I’m sure you know! I’ll think on it. We should start a “get Jux to watch movies” thread…

It's always a trip to hear the Tragically Hip played in a US sports arena. Even if it's probably because hockey people will be exposed to them through hockey.

Though if I can make a terrible confession: I only like a small handful of Hip songs. And I'm not even sure I can name all of them. I know they're like an institution/religion among Canadian music but I just don't click with them.

But my musical taste is likely considered random, eclectic, and trash so it's probably a "me" problem pretty specifically.

I’m glad that caught your attention as well

For some reason, I have always thought you listened to stuff that would be on the Fallout 3 soundtrack.

I for one am completely shocked that team with five rookies in the lineup is struggling against the best team in the league.

Nem did anti-jinx Georgiev, though, so there's that. Ferraro has been solid. Liljegren with some very good and very bad. Graf is solid. That's all I got.

Hahahahaha immediate curse. Graf hurt and Liljegren goal.
