We're going to have to play Forsberg at some point assuming Ullmark is still a few weeks away.

I don't think playing Merilainen every single game makes sense. He's had some good games this season but he's inconsistent.

Absolutely, but he has 2 shutouts in 3 games giving up only 2 goals. Will be interesting to see what Greener decides. I would keep him in to get another long streak going.

It's his net to lose for now. You want to talk about inconsistent, that's Forsberg.

Sorry, I meant Forsberg has been inconsistent but he has had good games. No issue with Merilainen's game. He's positionally sound and calm the entire time he's been up here.

And Andrew Hammond played 27 of 31 games on that run. But I'm not sure you want to do that to your #1 goaltending prospect.

Leevi might be better than Ullmark long term. His rebound control is miles better!

This coming from an Ullmark fanboy
Funny you say that because my only comment on what he should improve after the first few games was his rebound control. He did do much better the last few games. A tandem of Ullmark and Merilainen for years to come would be awesome! So great to have another capable goalie we cam trust !

Forsberg can play the next 2 Sundays against NJ and Utah.
