If this game was an indication of what Jones will bring on a nightly basis , then we come out way ahead in that trade . Jones ability to transition the puck up the ice , thie space he takes up with his size . You could tell he was much more comfortable tonight . Love his effort

He still looks uncomfortable to me, but his impact is good nonetheless. Some of our best chances came from Jones jumping into the rush.

We need good veteran D for youngsters ( duo 3-27 + next year Werenski, Palliotta, Heatherington). Tyutin slow and untradebale, but how good he as teacher?

I do wish Jones would occasionally use them shoulders. It makes me appreciate Savard.

To my mind, though, I put a higher priority on forwards playing physical. Forwards need to be able to hit, D need to be able to take a hit.

So we traded for arguably the biggest guy on the ice that rarely gets physical and uses his body? Yikes!

With two rookie goalies, it's not something I'd be worried about right now. Maybe later in the year.
