I still don't hate the Lindholm signing. The Bruins badly needed a top 6 C and the choices were essentially him and Stephenson. Chandler's not exactly lighting it up at the Kraken either. They took their chances with Elias, unfortunately it's not really working so far. Probably paid him too much money/term, but FAs cost.

The problem was more doing basically nothing to replace DeBrusk. That was an obvious error.

New city, new team, coach wanted out, early injuries.. he wasn’t exactly in a position to have success off the bat. If you go look at numbers, it isn’t surprising he’s not having his best season. Guys tend to be light years better starting in year 2 of a contract.

True enough. Been put in a tough situation. Still could fairly have hoped for a bit better I think. But yeah, can only hope he improves going forwards.
