Swayman. McAvoy. Pastrnak. The core of this team and they’ve ALL looked bad. Coyle and Zacha picked up slack and played great last season - huge regression.

I just don’t understand how almost an entire team has lost it in one offseason.

A bit of the culture weakening and the standard to work out and improve in the summer took a back seat to being rich and going to parties.

No one thought Sacco was a long term solution, however I just can't see them replacing Sacco until this year is over, no matter how bad it gets.

Its been 10 games since the Bruins won the special teams battle. PK sucks and the PP blows. For a team that can't score 5 on 5, if this trend continues it is ping pong ball time.

It’s the worst special teams stats for this team since they started keeping them in the 70’s

Confidence and morale are such huge factors in sport. Also Monty was a much better coach than Sacco, but simply very quickly lost any interest in coaching this particular roster. Now Joe is trying to pick up the pieces, but really isn't up to what is to be fair a difficult task.

Still more to it I'm sure, but both those factors are relevant I think.

They made the Final in 13 and won the Presidents’ Trophy in 14 only to go back to back DNQs in 15 & 16.

Have to hope and pray this is a one year blip and run it back next year.

Otherwise, you’re the Penguins and are mired in mediocrity for years.

If it’s me, I’m getting out in front of things and selling what I can while I can get something.

Bruins have gotten away from their shot mentality. When Sacco took over it was about getting volume on net.

In this game, they keep passing up shooting opportunities to hold it and end up getting nothing.
