Definition of Insanity = Sacco not going with Lohrei on the first unit and continuing to roll with McAvoy.
Lohrei has become the Bruins best offensive defenseman since McAvoy doesn't want to shoot anymore...and he is not the only Bruins d-man who's been out of position and costing the Bruins goals, but at just 23 yrs old, is one of the few D-men on this team who actually makes things happen in the offensive zone and on the PP because he's not afraid to shoot (and usually gets the shot on net)You are rebuilding etc u can put up with Lohrei but trying to make playoffs and him costing u goals and odd man rushes every game is simply not smart .
Valid point for all the defense. Sacco and Kelly were forwards, and Leach isn't exactly Paul Coffey who stepped in and immediately helped the Oilers.Lohrei has become the Bruins best offensive defenseman since McAvoy doesn't want to shoot anymore...and he is not the only Bruins d-man who's been out of position and costing the Bruins goals, but at just 23 yrs old, is one of the few D-men on this team who actually makes things happen in the offensive zone and on the PP because he's not afraid to shoot (and usually gets the shot on net)
IMO he will get better defensively with experience and good coaching, although I'm not convinced he's getting the best coaching

I hope they do so the people rooting for them to fail look even more foolish.watch the Bruins win this game.
1990You mean the '80's Oilers?
You think they would experiment a little. Ive been hoping for sometime now Braz would turn into Dave Anderychuk.Wtf does Braz need to do to get on PP1? Seems like he's the only guy scoring on the PP lately
Yeah I just don't understand. The answer to our terrible PP is to keep sending the same guys out and hope it changes? You think they would experiment a little. Ive been hoping for sometime now Braz would turn into Dave Anderychuk.
Lindholm did skate this morning so hopefully he's back soon. I like Wotherspoon, but he's not a 1st-pairing defenseman. It doesn't help that both Zadorov and Lohrei also play their best with Peake as their partner.1990
Man only on the Bruins can you go from the outhouse to the penthouse like Wotherspoon did Has to mean Lindholm back, no?

Especially because the forward lines have been in a blender this year , albeit moreso with Monty than Sacco .Yeah I just don't understand. The answer to our terrible PP is to keep sending the same guys out and hope it changes?

Or go real crazy, leave their best goal scorer on, but change him to the bumper.I know this is crazy but hear me out: Take Pasta off the PP. When he's out there his teammates constantly look to get the puck to him even when he's being smothered by the PK . They don't look to create offense for themselves or each other, it's just feed the puck to Pasta for a one timer.
That's fine and actually nice that he likes to put up pts but he keeps making stupid pinches and fumbling pucks at the blueline costing them goals. My pt was not to have it both ways.Trying to make playoffs and watching him cause odd man breaks every game do not go together.Anyhow it's not changing with so few options so go Bruins.Lohrei has become the Bruins best offensive defenseman since McAvoy doesn't want to shoot anymore...and he is not the only Bruins d-man who's been out of position and costing the Bruins goals, but at just 23 yrs old, is one of the few D-men on this team who actually makes things happen in the offensive zone and on the PP because he's not afraid to shoot (and usually gets the shot on net)

growing up it was the Isles, then those Oilers. What an amazing team.1990 had no Gretzky or Coffey anymore. Still won the Cup.
How good were they with those guys?
Remember those days well. Bruins games were few and far between here in northern Ontario. We had to wait until 11 sports to know if they won or not. Only time i saw them on tv was on french channel when they played the Habs or cbc when they played leafs. Its a wonder i was not better in french. I know a few words. Le but and spectacular lolgrowing up it was the Isles, then those Oilers. What an amazing team.
In 1985, long before the internet and cable tv, my brother and I went to a hockey shop a couple dozen miles away and had 99 gretzky jerseys made that took three months.
Think about that. We saw maybe 3 oilers games a year then, and two young kids from northern New Jersey bought Edmonton Oilers jerseys. That's how amazing he was to us. Our main consumption was the sports report on the news, the few isles/devils/rangers games on channel 9 and of course THN and hockey cards.
This post is so on point, it should be replacing McAvoy.I know this is crazy but hear me out: Take Pasta off the PP. When he's out there his teammates constantly look to get the puck to him even when he's being smothered by the PK . They don't look to create offense for themselves or each other, it's just feed the puck to Pasta for a one timer. If he was out injured they would have no choice but to do differently. IMO this is one of the reasons for PP1's ineffectiveness, another one is McAvoy at the point.
Look at PP2- they get on average 30 seconds less time on the ice than PP1. Yet they show more movement & creativity. Why? Because they don't stand around waiting for the team sniper to get open or seeming to get open. It also helps that Lohrei knows how to run a PP.
Or maybe the Bs should just flip the PP units as I have suggested before.
What do the Bruins have to lose? A shitty PP, that's what.
Be one of the games worth it with McDavid Draisaitl playing.I agreeKinda wish I was going tonight.
