McAvoy +4 playing over 23 mins a night with this team is a stat.
I feel just the opposite, he should be playing as much as humanly possibly , Let him get all the necessary experience to grow now .We need him bad. Move out lohrei. Love the kid but he is turnover and out of position machine.
Yea playing about 4 less minutes a game then Chuck.Still, I am shocked though seeing that stat the way he wanders around. As Cassidy use to say,, Good on him.Lohrei is -11 in less minutesAnd the much-maligned Zadorov +7.
Yes & no.Rebuild & tank type setup sure .Serious about making playoffs then no.I feel just the opposite, he should be playing as much as humanly possibly , Let him get all the necessary experience to grow now .
They outplayed Edm last meeting yet found way to lose.All logic dictates they smoked. Like 6-2 or 5-1.
But since this is the most illogical and frustrating team in decades Bs probably win 3-2.
Because its so easy to replace the 16 pts and the offensive instincts he has with other options on this offensive starved team.Yea playing about 4 less minutes a game then Chuck.Still, I am shocked though seeing that stat the way he wanders around. You are rebuilding etc u can put up with Lohrei but trying to make playoffs and him costing u goals and odd man rushes every game is simply not smart .Because its so easy to replace the 16 pts and the offensive instincts he has with other options on this offensive starved team.
What does this team have to lose at this point ? I play him and let him grow. The Bruins could sit him, or give him very little minutes and still be on the outside looking in. Let the kid play and call up Poitras while your at it!Yes & no.Rebuild & tank type setup sure .Serious about making playoffs then no.

They have a playoff spot to lose.His shitty play certainly has cost them.The guy is -11 and every game getting caught up ice.Hey, I don't mind letting him learn heck whatever they think but nobody can say his play has not hurt them.What does this team have to lose at this point ? Well, if that is your prediction, and chances are you will be right, then let's change the strategy tonight, screw it entertain the fans, and get into a shootout, just skate up and down the ice, play hockey have fun, and if you want throw in some big hits, and maybe a good fight or two.......Well our PP sucks, our PK sucks, we are one of the most penalized teams, Oilers have top PP, Rooney loves to prove he's not a Homer by penalizing the B's for anything, somdoing the math I'd say we're in for a drubbing!
I watch Lindholm play just terrible in games, McAvoy get caught out of position, Carlo just wondering aimlessly at times. He's not alone, this team is very dysfunctional right now. So im not putting it on my one young defenseman who has great upside, Im letting him play and hopefully he learns on the go. I see where your coming from thou, but this team is far from a lock for the playoffs. I'd just rather see them play the youngster, because even if they get in their not going very far as currently constructed, so imo they should give the kid with upside some experience.They have a playoff spot to lose.His shitty play certainly has cost them.The guy is -11 and every game getting caught up ice.Hey, I don't mind letting him learn heck whatever they think but nobody can say his play has not hurt them.
I'm with you but not on Poitras , he needs to become stronger or alter how he plays to not make himself as vulnerable on the ice.What does this team have to lose at this point ? I play him and let him grow. The Bruins could sit him, or give him very little minutes and still be on the outside looking in. Let the kid play and call up Poitras while your at it!
Give me more Mason, please. I'll take the warts with the up-side on this kid. He's far more exciting to watch than anyone else on this team not named David Pastrnak.Since Hampus Lindholm was injured (25 games,) here are the Powerplay stats for McAvoy vs Lohrei:
Points
Lohrei = 6
McAvoy = 1
ATOI per game
McAvoy = 2:47
Lohrei = 1:46
On-ice Goals For/60
Lohrei = 8.42 (6 goals in 42:46)
McAvoy = 2.57 (3 goals in 69:58)
On-ice xGF/60
Lohrei = 8.89
McAvoy = 7.81
On-ice Shooting%
Lohrei = 15.38
McAvoy = 4.84
Over that time-frame, Charlie McAvoy ranks dead last (35th) in the NHL among defensemen averaging 2+min per game on the PP in on-ice Goals For per 60 min.
If you reduce the minium qualifying average to 1:30 ATOI per game, Lohrei ranks 19th out of 49 defensemen in the league.
He should be learning in ahl. Im worried he will lose his confidenceI feel just the opposite, he should be playing as much as humanly possibly , Let him get all the necessary experience to grow now .
Again I 'll disagree ,you learn by playing against the best. If his issues were lack of strength like Poitras then yes being in the AHL makes more sense.He should be learning in ahl. Im worried he will lose his confidence
So would I. Move Kastelic to center and scratch Beecher.I'd put in McLaughlin over Beecher.
He wouldn’t make it through waiversHe should be learning in ahl. Im worried he will lose his confidence
Let him do that in the AHL, he's problably the worse Bruin I have ever seen trying to be a dman.I feel just the opposite, he should be playing as much as humanly possibly , Let him get all the necessary experience to grow now .
Agree to disagreeAgain I 'll disagree ,you learn by playing against the best. If his issues were lack of strength like Poitras then yes being in the AHL makes more sense.
