Not a great 3rd but I understand we're up 6-2. But shouldn't go into a defensive shell.

I’m far from a Kasper slappy but I actually think he’s looked reasonably good this season, even when not generating points (glad to see him getting involved there a bit more). I wish he had stronger playmaking ability and better goalscoring instincts, but if he had those attributes then he probably isn’t there for us when we drafted him. Not my favorite prospect in the history of hockey but I think he does a lot well on the ice and I think that will lead to stronger production as he matures. I think he’s a winning hockey player.

There's a reasonable chance with more NHL experience that he becomes our Sam Bennett. And that's a heck of a player to have, particularly when the playoffs come around

Pretty good for where we got him in such a weak draft for forwards

No, you should go to rest/shell mode when it's a clear win. That's how Contenders will do. Game was over at 5-0. And you should not look on any late statistics on those kind of games.
 
The Bruins have 2nd worst GD in the east after the pens. We are are 3 points behind with 3 games in hand.

What does Yzerman think now? What does Lalonde think now?

Im convinced his day 1 practice was the same as day 1000. He seemed like a great assistant but you need to be more than a hockey mind to be a head coach. If the team doesn't want to go to battle for you, the team is going be permanently at a handicap. Same goes for the players. Seems McLellan and Yawney have changed the locker room from toxic to positive in short order. There is going to be some let downs coming, the response from the group is going to be their next big test.
 
When you see the schedule in March and April you get to worry.
5 last games are vs very strong teams and 4 out of 5 on the road. The game vs the sharks on Tuesday is a must win.
