How many minutes has Wahlstrom actually played in the last 4 games?
I would like to see him played more and tried on the PP before they give up
on him.
It almost seems like the B's are too stubborn (or too stupid) to try someone else on the PP

If I was coach I would've went thru the whole lineup by now to see what works

..the PP can't get any worse, so why not try to shake things up

What’s the common denominator there ? O’yea you can add in the Lindholm contract and not calling up Potrais or giving Merkolov and Lysell an extended look. The guy who is actually responsible for putting one of the slowest teams in the league together. Losers of their last 4 and now they’re off to face Edmonton, Fla,and Tampa twice in their next 4.

Add in letting DeBrusk walk....a guy that actually had speed and was solid in the PK. Oh and he's on pace 35G & 61P this season.

Too many Bruins players standing around watching the play waiting for the puck to come to them.
Literally, standing stationary or gliding in place most of the game ... none or very little movement and all are waiting for the puck ... not on their toes, little jump, not enough involvement.
They are flat-footed, not moving their feet.
very easy for opponents to defend
Frustrating to watch.

They should just stop having a PP. Just roll out the next line and D pair as if it's 5 on 5 and play normal hockey. It wouldn't be worse than this and they probably wouldn't get a shorty scored on them.
Islanders lose the challenge, they have the worst PK in the league by far and we should have just buried them right there. Truly absurd how bad this PP has gotten.
Kastelic must have been thinking he was back in Ottawa the way Korpisalo played in this one. When you dominate an OT like that and still lose you have a problem. A big problem.

The encouraging thing is that Pastrnak is heating up.

However, the team is a mess right now.

Come out and get an early lead only to cough it right up with a shorthanded goal against.

That simply cannot happen.

They’re finding new ways to lose.
Blown out 7-1.
Stifled out 3-1.
Back and forth 6-4.

We’re more than halfway through the season and this club has zero identity. Their only hope is the fact that teams 6-12 in the East are all in the same ballpark of mediocrity.

I’m resigned to the fact they will not sell off pieces so long as they are in contention for a playoff spot.

The next best thing is for them to play it out without adding at the deadline, and accepting their fate.

Coyle (-2), McAvoy (-3), Marchand (-4), Lindholm (-4).

Didn't think changing the defensive pairs was a good idea. Still don't think so.

Pasta with his best period of the season. Got the B's a non-deserved point.

Freddy won 5 of 8 faceoffs. Though he played very well. Noticeable.

Tuesday could be ugly.
That ain't a good stat for the EL line. WOW
Tough to win with those three being pass over!

Yeah this experiment should be over.

THere is nothing he brings that someone like Lysell, Merkulov, Potrias, or hell even McLuaghlin can't bring.
It scream that Bruins FO don't beleive in those Lysell, Merkulov, Potrias, or hell even McLuaghlin, at least for this year!

They all got trapped deep.I try not to blame the odd man rushes or breakaways on the goalies. It would have to be a pretty blatant miscue

Just got home. Game was at times boring, at times exciting, 100% frustrating. Happy to see Pasta heating up and Peeke’s rush and feed to Brazeau was a beauty. Mediocre is my word for this season. I will always root for them, but it might be organizationally better if they fall out of playoff contention and don’t try to bolster the current roster.
