Are the defenseman not allowed to shoot from the point on the PP?

3 minutes of 5-on-3 and not once did a shot come from the point. That's unacceptable.

I think JJ and Jones got a shot each, but yea you have a point.:sarcasm:

I love the Seth Jones trade.... Joey was dogging it most of his career here..

I also like this Forsberg kid, to bad he's tending for the worst defense in the NHL but changes are coming and Jones is just the start..

I'm not so sure bombing form the point on a 5-3 is the way to go. I'd rather see a lot of quick passes and changes of direction down low to get the goalie out of position.

RyJo is having about the same impact tonite as he did in the previous game .......

I like the little bit of chemistry that is already developing between between Jones and Murray. Boy, Jones has monster offensive potential.

Who would take him? Incentive is needed

Fair question...Will be a tough trade because his skills have diminished so quickly. Best bet will be a contender who loses D-depth, gets desperate and views his experience as an upgrade over their current 5,6,7 guys. Only other hope is a package where we can package him and find trade partner who swallows hard and takes him to get the prime target.

Pretty much how 5 on 3 is supposed to work.

Now, if you can get your dmen to the hash marks, then they ought to be shooting one timers.

I can't see a contender wanting Tyutin for any reason. He's slow, soft and his offense has disappeared completely. 50% salary retention wouldn't help as he offers nothing.

At least he won't be around as long as Clarkson.

Jack Johnson is all but done too as far as I'm concerned....

But be clear, my comments are based on expectations of having a Stanley Cup potential team... As for an entertaining NHL team the current CBJ roster is fine...

GM said Jones, Murray, JJ, and Savard's name specifically at the press conference with the jones trade. I don't think very many more changes are coming for the D, unless of course plans change with JJ which is always possible

Too bad he couldn't be "snubbed" again. He played great for a while after that. Been so-so since he stopped playing like that. Just another body.

I found it funny he stopped before mentioning Tyutin.
