but man..the NHL has a MAJOR problem with the quality of its refs.....there were so many bad calls it's both funny and sad

It's not a homer thing. Many of these calls are almost uniformly bad no matter whom they are called against. And it's the ticky tack, crap you breathed on him calls that are just terrible. This stuff would have been laughed out of the league even 10 or 15 years ago especially 20 plus prior. I understand it's a different League but it's garbage. It's embarrassing. They should be f****** embarrassed.
