Post-Game Talk: GAME 41 - Toronto 6 BRUINS 4

Was a good game. Worst thing I noticed was that the D is soft. Carlo and McAvoy looked like they were paying tribute to Gryz or something.
Actually, Geekie and Zad are the only two tough players on the team. They are the only two players on the team that aren't afraid of getting hit, being first in the corners, playing net front or even giving a hit.

They have played maybe 2 or 3 good games all year. How do you gage their potential and how is it going come to the forefront. You can never feel at ease watching a Bruins game this year.
Bruins have a big team so maybe are more suited to the physicality of the playoffs where the referees put away their whistles. Swayman finally gets his head out of his ass as well as Lindholm.. A healthy Hampus Lindholm solidifies the D . Bruins call up both Poitras and Lysell and they surprisingly play well . I tried .

McAvoy should carry the puck out of the zone more . It’s his best attribute especially when going through a funk .

Entertaining to watch my son enjoyed it other then the losing part

Then leave it to a few ignorant fans even adults to boot heckle a 8yr old after winning pathetic..

Anyhow I turned the cheek and told my boy that’s exactly why I can’t stand the Leafs there fans have no pride.

I could comment on a few things about the game but really there’s no point I’m just glad we scored more then 1 goal so we had something to cheer about.

Hell baby
List of goalies playing worse than Swayman in Saves Above Expected that have played more than 1200 min (so basically starters- since somebody wanted context)

Merzlikens
Mrazek
Georgiev

If you bring it down to 1000 you can add Jarry and Ersson

Great group to be a part of. At least Bobrovsky isn’t that far ahead of him!

Ah f*** it . These games are just practice until the playoffs. Just had a look at the standings. I still think the Bruins can get a wildcard spot so ultimately I don’t give a f*** about the regular season.

Goodnight from Nova Scotia!
Playoffs?

Oh you might be in for a rude awakening;

If this franchise is smart they sell for the deadline not buy and then we add some assets/picks and try to get it right next year (also hopefully adding some of Providence) . There is no way this team wins in the playoffs and likely doesn't even get in.

So looking at this current BRUINS' team, the only do over that stands out to you is Sway?
This team is loaded with 'do overs.'
Did I say Swayman was the only problem with this team ? Tell me where I said that ? Like everyone else I’ve been bashing many others tonight. A rather prickly bunch of posters in here tonight . I guess that’s understandable .

But Swayman was good vs the Leafs in the playoffs and Ullmark hadn’t played well in the playoffs. Everyone wanted Swayman . It seemed like a no brainer .

Tampa lost .
Tampa, Devils, Rangers, Sabres and Carolina all lost today, but the Bruins cannot keep hoping for other teams to lose

..at some point they'll need to start putting some wins together because the second half of the season is a tougher schedule

Tomorrow night is a must win, and would be a good time to snap a 3 game losing streak, and post their first win of 2025

The Loafs' goalie allowed the offensively impotent BRUINS to score 4 goals. For sure he's definitely worse than Swayman.
That the BRUINS are averaging around 2.30 goals per game and are still over .500 is remarkable.

sway is not carrying this team as expected and the team as a whole have been playing down and the PP still stinks and no help in site. DS can't trade a first rounder this year. but sooner or later the youngsters need to play.
